where do we spend our hard earned cash?

I am ok with our midfield options even if BP leaves but we do need another. 

 

I like Derbyshire, we are lucky to have him.

Bowery could come good this season.

 

So, for me, the bulk of the cash and wages needs to go on a keeper and left and right back.

 

It scares me-I got particularly worried in the last 10 games about Derbyshire getting injured- that we only have one proven striker. It was very lucky he played without an injury because we had.nothing at all otherwise. Scary but true. Even so, a striker as good as bowery won't come cheap and anyone else available would be a bit of a punt.

I agree Ian. I've Not looked at the stats but I think our goals scored weren't too bad but goal against I'm not so sure. A few more clean sheets next season would see us mid table. I know that's stating the obvious but with a few more goals from our midfield and a better defence then a boring season would be very welcome.

Bowery can go for me no physical presence. Derbyshire, Ward & JCH in front of him, need a younger Revell type player for one of them to feed off. Assuming Morgan & Pringle stay need Keeper, Right & Left backs [ some cover on the left ] Centre back [ Wood can go, he'll get a club no problem ] Right Midfield player.

T71 if we get all the players you suggest. Another forward, keeper, full backs, centre back plus cover we will end up with another 8-10 average players. I like Bowery and can see with a run of games him getting better and better. I'd rather buy 3-4 good players and have a smaller squad. So keeper,two full backs and a right winger for me.

 Centre back isn't cover, Morgan if he stops is only championship class player we've got in that position, now that Arnie is in Midfield. Need some physical presence up front. Need cover on the left. My counting makes 6 players.

As above, we have some decent players in each position barring left and right back and I think maybe the keeper, so that has to be a priority in terms of getting the quality into those positions.

Its going to be a risk at any level re adequate cover, so we have to accept some level of risk.

Arnie and ward can cover central defence and midfield respectively.

we have a squad of 12 first team players (JCH and Yates not included) if Morgs and BP stay, which would surprise me at this point. We usually carry 22-23 players including.

Evans reckons we will trim it this year, so maybe, my guess would be to expect 18-ish, plus loans.
