Speaking to The Advertiser Mr Stewart said, 'English Heritage are going to work with us on this. I've had meetings with them and we want to work with them. They are also being reasonable in coming to the table and agreeing.

'The idea is to create commercial buildings while leaving areas that give some insight into the old Guest and Chrimes and it`s history. And although most of the building will have to be demolished there are areas that would be retained.

Discussed for the site are hotel,  retail and call centre.
