Tuesday is the biggest game in 10 years!

It's at home.

It's against beatable opposition.

It's a must win.

It's our best chance.

Let's go believing and give it everything with focus .

Let's not come away feeling we didn't do ourselves justice.

I would rest ward unless he really feels fit. If he ain't I would bring Green back in.

Tempted to go with team as today perhaps but bowery as always impressive in a cameo.

It will be nervous tense and hopefully a cracker of a game.
Team selection- I would drop pringle, thought he was poor and I'm not sure his head is in the right Place. I'd start hammill and Bowery if ward doesn't recover. Here's hopeing after two good results and displays we don't have an off day. In there faces again from the off. 3-1

Were's Green going to play? Not going to rest Arnie, Smallwood or Frecks. Its Pringle or Hammill. If Ward is out start with JCH.
If your talking TV money ect... its as big if not bigger than play-off final.
Away ends open for away fans, Reading will only need one block, fill to max' possible, make it as uncomfortable as we can for Reading.

Why not.

Just opinions.

Didn't have a great game v Norwich and I thought the deep lying role best covered by Green who is a little more mobile and can link the play and sweep up. He gets back and forward faster than smallwood and for this game we need a solid start with no surprises.

Many managers would use the deep lying position for a technical or pit bull player, but I think Green is just a tad better in that role all round and has played it many times at derby and donny- hes would be very positive and cover the inside positions behind each wing and the central positions need drive on Tuesday hence arnie and Frecklington with hamill and pringle.

Green has had his day. Even an off form half crippled Smallwood is better.

I echo the sentiments though. A massive massive game that I'm jealous I can't attend. I personally think the summer recruitment & the talk of expansion, will be one of the most paramount important periods this club has seen in a generation. But it will be far better doing it as a Champ club than a L1 club. The league looks frightening next season compared to this, we'll have to pull out the stops even more so just to keep our necks out of the water - but it can be done if lessons have been learned on and off the pitch!

You thinking preston, Bristol and sheff u to replace blackpool, wigan and millwall?

And watford, Bournemouth and derby to replace burnley, Sunderland and QPR?

Agree! It looks tougher.

Don't fancy Blades to do it, Colchester are fighting for their lives and wouldn't surprise me if MK go up with Bristol, I think Preston will have learned from last season. Swindon are on a real downer at the minute and although Blades could get to Wembley & certainly have it for the big occasions I just think MK or Preston will be too much for them. Either way they've all got the infrastructure & backing to compete in this league & you just can't see Burnley, Sunderland or QPR crumbling like Wigan & Blackpool. It will be us & Reading, along with Brighton / another L1 team, unless Brighton sort themselves out over the summer, who were truly woeful. But how wrong could that be! - the beauty of footy eh?

I will be surprised to see Ben Pringle play. Talked to him after his substitution and there is no love between him and SE. Prings has had it with him and will not be re signing.

Tuesday is as big a game as they come. Very important we stay in the Champs

Is the manager there to be loved though? - respect is a different matter, sounds like Prings has lost that.  It's not surprising.  Pringle only has 2 parts to his game, hunting the ball down and put him 30yds out he'll put it on a sixpence.  He's not had the opportunity to do either this season, mostly down to tactics, and some to do with at this level it's easily combated.  I think he's a luxury we can't afford, only with better players around him or inferior opposition will he shine, allowing him into the areas he does damage.  I don't think Hammil is the answer either.  If we're hell bent on 4-2-3-1 again next season those wide players need pace, that is the reason it's failed this season & why we've been so awful away from home.  You can't counter attack without pace.  (I've been to a lot of away games this season and barely got double figures at home so I've seen it and tbh sick of the obviousness of us)

If he does leave, he leaves in a better position than when that joke Scott was manager, and for that he must thank SE.  A good top 5 L1 club is about his limit though.  Prings has done nothing but give maximum to the cause for us, even on the right side of that 3 which he obviously hated & was utterly alien, but he did it for the team.  And for that we must thank him for his efforts and contributions to get us to where we are

I cant wait for Tomorrow night, its Show Time!

Team selection is a poser, maybe Prings out? We cant drop smallwood! It's going to be interesting to how SE wants us to line up? I just hope we can sink the chances and get a couple of goals lead asap, then the fight may well drain out of the Reading Lads and it could turn into a Canter.

Lets make some noise and give whoever is in the starting lineup the best support we can. We have to show up and make the difference, we owe it to the Lads and Tony Stewart to show our passion from the 1st whistle.

Team discipline will also be a key factor. We were well disciplined in the last game.

Long live the Millers!

We dont have to win it in the first 20 mins but a couple of early goals would be nice biggrin

As long as we are at least a goal up at the final whistle then I will be happy, I may need a change in underwear but I'll be happy biggrin

Please Steve, dont take the shirt off if we do get the win no.gif
