Precedence-numerous examples. Oversight - genuine error with no intent to gain advantage. Derby's understanding - did they contribute to the error. Technicalities-IT issues and communication errors.
Farrend Rawson, 18, was on loan at Rotherham from Derby and was making the fourth appearance of his loan spell after joining them on a 28-day youth loan on March 7, which would have expired on April 4.
So, who should have taken ultimate responsibility to question the player's immediate future as to whether he stayed at Rotherham United or whether he was to return to Derby County, his parent club?
Did Derby County contact Rotherham United about Farrend Rawson before his youth loan spell was due to expire?
I'm sure if such a talented young player was out on loan I would be monitoring his welfare and progress.
Rawson only made four appearances in all that time.
In any one of those appearances how many goals did he score?
In any one of those appearances was he involved in any goal assists?
Remember he is a young player learning his trade.
If he had been a more experienced player and had been pursued by Premiership Clubs I think the FDC would be inclined to take a different view.
However, on Easter Monday 6th April 2015 the Millers managed to win the game by one solitary goal.
Yes, one goal was the difference.
However, I do not believe that anyone intended to break any rules.
I do hope that the Football Disciplinary Committee see it that way too.
This is one of the lowest I've felt in many years following RUFC
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the business side of the Club is nothing short of amateurish
If this farce sees us relegated I will be absolutely disgusted with the club. Only we could contribute to our own downfall like this
Sickening
