And maybe some were bias and not able to see that he had some quality too-shrouded perhaps by other performances .
It goes to show that it takes a team effort to bring the very best out in each individual. When the team is unbalanced even very good players don't click.
That's what is so interesting about football-the connections between manager, fans, club history and other players in the team is a real conundrum. Get it right and you can be Bournemouth. Get it wrong and you can be Sheffield Wednesday or leeds etc

Best player by a mile this season. Put him at right back and he would be the worst. Looking back we were unfair to him because he was like a fish out of water in that position yet he never shirked it.
I for one am eating humble pie, when he first came I wondered why we had signed him, Blackpool's fans slated him, even now he sometimes looks like an accident waiting to happen but it can't be a coincidence we have for the most part been competing in games with him in the side (surely his first goal is around the corner given how he gives us an aerial threat at set pieces). his coming back from the disgraceful 10 game ban, together with other factors like Frecks overcoming his injuries and having a half decent keeper (and D. Colllins continued absence) are helping the team no end. So for what its worth Kirk, apologies from me and keep up the good work!
he plays with desire and passion and wants to wear the shirt and play for it, but tonight we can still see our defece isn't good enough for the championship
