I liked what Ward did, but I'm going to go for smallwood or Green..., and it's Smallwood - just.

Smallwood by a mile for me. He hardly put a pass astray, and he moved the ball about extremely well. Thought he broke up play as well as ever, but his distribution today was magnificent.

Smallwood was excellent today by far the best player on the pitch. I like Ward too, he's a big strong lad and gets direction on the headers he wins. Our defence is dire at the moment and we seem to panic every time teams attack. Friers has had one good game for us and I would like the burglar to come back on here and tell me again what a sensational player he is and as for Broadfoot, I have never before seen a professional footballer get caught wrong side so many times in one game - awful.

Wierd game. Arnie was at his worst in the first half but when he ventured forward he blossomed. Then he scored. Broadfoot had a mare...yet cleared off the line. Pringle got man of match for setting up 2 goals and running a lot. Derbyshire and Ward look as though they can scare any defence..both full backs had good distribution. We had a ref who allowed the game to play instead of blowing for everything. In fact a good set of officials. For me....Smallwood was mom.

Liked Pringle's contribution, much nearer to his better self. Arnie, well Arnie is the only player I know who gets away with murder and in some cases doesn't - but is forgiven by the fans. One minute he costs us a goal and in the next breath he does a wonder tackle, header or like yesterday, scores. Adam Collin made a wonder save without which I fear we may have lost so I think that was vital. Greeny was quiet. Hunt was fab and I agree Ritchie Smallwood, again for me was mom
