Watford v Millers Match thread?

I wont be travelling down to Vicarage Road so will be listening on Millers Player and posting on here.

Is anyone else up for a bit of banter? Theres some other games which could have a big impact on the millers.

Brighton - Leeds

Boro' - Bolton

Millwall - washday

Wigan - Cardiff

Wolves - Fulham

So plenty to chat about

Some interesting clashes again in the fixture list but only Millwall and our own result matter right now.

The wigan/cardiff game is difficult to call.

true Ian I think a draw between Cardiff - wigan would be best for us, keeps Wigan in the mire and Cardiff within reach of the relegation zone too. The more fighting for safety the better for the millers smile

The team sheet cant come quick enough for tonight.  Morgs has to be back in the starting 11 even on one leg, one eye and one arm, (a la Nelson) hes not just our Captain!

Yep, we need Captain Morgan at the helm.

We need to play with a sweeper system. This has been mentioned on another thread. But it makes sense to me.

Who we play at sweeper? Arni with Morgs and Broadfoot at CB?

we don't have anyone fast enough for Sweeper...unless you count Arnie hoovering up for Broadfoot.

Dont like it.

Puts too much pressure on the defense and against swift opposition with width its pointless and runs a big risk of getting caught too deep or too high (offside trap becomes crucial).

stick to simples.

we have a pretty basic formation and pretty basic players.

Agreed Ian, we just dont have the players to use the sweeper system. A decent sweeper would be a good starting point biggrin

Sometimes there's a vacuum at the back which needs to be filled. A lot of the teams we have already met have had forwards who have simply brushed past our back four. Therefore, we need a sweeper to hoover up any loose balls. Done and dusted!

We have a perfect sweeper in Smallwood, if we wanted to go that way, just don't really think it would suit us, though in hindsight it would've been perfect for Wolves, but there you go.

Without meaning to state the obvious, and without sound pessimistic, not sitting comfortably with this one tneet

Salvage a point, at best

That being said stranger things can happen, and they've been on not good form themselves as late

 Hunt obviously pushed out Richardson.

Fryers - Milsom - pringle  could hold the key to success or failure tonight.

It's a bold move again with some versatility in it.

Dawn of the dead part two (milsom)
