Big game between NZ and  England Friday, but I have split loyalties. Been here 13 years now and I love cricket, seen every major nation play NZ at least once. When you see a team play over a long period of time you begin to emotionally invest in the players. Being English I am torn, half the English squad I am unfamiliar with and they are pap at one day, where as the Black Caps have a real chance. Heart says NZ mind thinks I should want England.

Personally i think England will win this one, we don't have that Aussie phobia going on with the players. Don't get e wrong, i think the black caps are a better one day team than us, but i reckon on the day we'll turn it on.

 

 

PS, never heard of a Bramley Sunnyside lad supporting a foreign team before...winknobiggrin

It's a tough one, seen so many of the Black Caps develop over the years, really hard to suddenly stop wanting them to win.

Just enjoy it Pal, I dont think England will win we have a losing mentality biggrin No, dont beat yourself up, its no fun supporting a pi55 poor team with very little chance of progressing.

You sound like you are more connected to NZ cricket at the least. That's it. As it is

you will experience some conflict I'm sure

Let the best team win and see how you feel on the day. Then you will know.

sound advice guys. Though between club and country I would rather Rotherham win a corner than England win a game.
