WANTED - Candidates to stand in forthcoming May 2015 Elections

We need fresh faces in Rotherham. We need to support people who will represent the people of Rotherham.

Labour have had their chance. They have had their day.

Yesterday's outrage at the UKIP HQ in Rotherham Town Centre was, I believe, the last desperate attempt to suppress free speech.

Love him or otherwise Nigel Farage may have had something useful to say.

Who would you like to nominate as the next person to stand as a candidate in the  May elections ?

Any ideas?

That's where the main political parties have some advantage over Joe Public wishing to stand as a candidate and becoming elected as an MP. What the people of Rotherham have to do is choose a person who is independent of the main parties. They then need to support and promote that person.

There is no point in people mumbling and grumbling about the local Labour MPs. People need to realise that there are more of them than any one party.

At the moment I would vote for Miller Bear if he stood for Parliament rather than any other party candidate.

If this could happen it would be an earthquake in British Politics.

I hope it does.

I hope it is the shape of things to come.

We need greater accountability-the ability to vote on issues ( several times per year) and remove politicians and councils rather than this ridiculous centralised executive who can do what the hell they like for 5 years.

Martin Bell (the journalist) did it once taking the Tatton seat from Neil Hamilton. Trouble is can we find a local Martin Bell who the Rotherham public can get behind?

Any suggestions?

We need to bring someone out of retirement to pick up the baton.  I am quite sure there are very capable people who could be the next MP for Rotherham. If you know of such a person please have a serious talk with them. I'm sure lots of people would support the right person. The people need to take action to help put some pride back into the Town.

Remember, if you choose the right candidate you will then be able to use your vote rather than not vote all.

As a footnote:

I'm still waiting for one of the local MPs to state publicly that the perpetrators responsible for the well publicised CSE should be pursued and, subject to overwhelming evidence,  put before the courts.

However, beware of the whitewash.

Allegedly.

After reading today's Rotherham Advertiser I can still see a large lump in the middle of the carpet.

How can Rotherham as a town move forward and young people feel safe when the perpetrators are still at large?

The carpet only deflects from the ruins the house was built on.

That sounds Biblical. Haggai 1:4

I would happily stand but it would be less than a week before I was called everything from a pig to a dog by labour, they would then accuse people who voted for me of being fascist bully boys and the police (labour controlled) force would spend a chunk of their budget trying to find any dirt on me so they can make the bloke shouting about the problem go away instead of dealing with the problem.

But I couldn't afford the pay cut.

That's the problem with the main party machines and their spin doctors.

They know where and how tight to put the squeeze on a rival.
