Steve Evans and Tony Stewart are excellent

I would like to say well done to Steve Evans and Tony Stewart for doing everything they can to keep trying to move Rotherham United forward both on and off the pitch. They know it is a battle to stay in this league and they are trying to rebuild the squad so it has players in there to keep us up, that is all we need this year is to finish above 3 teams in the championship.

Yes we may not all like the style or his interviews or all the players coming in and out, but these two guys and the other people at the club are giving everything, all they ask of us as supporters is to stay loyal, support the team and stick with them. I think we can do that can't we?

Yes we all have a moan or pass comments about a player or a tactic or a game, that is fine we are entitled to do that. However some are going too far and expect too much.

Well SE and TS you have my full support, keep making me proud to be a Miller.

You can't build a squad when week in week out 4 players are loan players (and short loans at that), where's the long term plan?

Well said Derby, I'm not entirely sure what people expected this season. Fourth from bottom would have done me and we are on target to achieve that. TS always said it was about incremental improvements and SE talks about evolution not revolution. Now we can either gamble the clubs future and pay millions on players to try and stay in this league or we can wheel and deal, get the best out of good players who are not getting games at their clubs or on ones that have had a misstep in their careers. If we go down we will come back stronger. If we stay up we will be better next season.

Patience friends, is a virtue.

Not a trace, of doubt in my mind, that we're going in the right direction, 4th bottom would do me too this season,

WE all support this club but have differing opinions sometimes. These differences are based on youth or experience, ambition or lack of it, courage or cowardice, strength of mind or weakness of character. I could go on but for me we need a strong nucleus of players to which we might add the odd longer term loan signing. There has been money and a lot of it thrown at this venture so those that believe there hasn't are wrong, trust me. Time will tell if it has been spent wisely and no matter who the manager is, we shall continue to support TS and the club - right? We do not need to invest a hefty sum in a player we then loan out. JCH transfer fee involved a serious amount of cash yet our investment has gone elsewhere. Monies for Agard and Revell have been invested in what exactly?

I do find it hard and shocking at times to read that so many players have come and gone through our doors. I have run my business for 25 years and cannot believe this is the correct thing to do. During that time, I have always preferred a settled staff and on the odd occasion when I haven't had that, results have been the poorer. I know my business is not football but surely a settled nucleus has to be the way forward. A strong team spirit build by bonding from the trials and tribulations of taking on the Championship can surely only come when a large nucleus of players experience that together. It can't come from a bunch of short term loanees who have barely trained together before they are asked to take up a position (Ledesma springs to mind) I don't really want to be talking of trying to finish 4th from bottom, I prefer planning, investment and a belief and trust in making the correct judgements in assembling a squad fit for purpose. I know I'm coming across negatively these days but in all honesty, I do not see that we are any better team wise than last season and I suspect our finances are not as good, despite a visit to Wembley etc. We shall of course be able to see these when the next set of accounts appear at Companies House.

I just want RUFC to give this Championship opportunity a real good go. I feel, sadly we haven't done that in the first half of the season and I'm at a loss to understand how that will improve given what others have called a "Scatter gun" approach and a willingness to spend large sums on players - JCH and Bowery for example who do not contribute to the cause. Matt Derbyshire is another. There has been money but to date I think it has been invested unwisely.

Given all that I cannot wait for another great match tomorrow in a fantastic stadium.
