Fair enough.

The huddersfield fans, in the main, think Powell is silly sausages for letting him go, especially to a team next to them in the league.

The one issue with him is consistency and added to that must be fitness.

The option is a good move

Dicko and tavs weren't for sale. There parent clubs only allowed the loans. In dickos case he was 'recalled' as soon as offers were expressed and sold to highest bidder (wolves).

Tavs was on season long ( 2 spells) and wigan and tavs would not make a decision until end of season. I actually spoke to tavs and I'm not saying that it is totally accurate but I think it sums up the situation. When I asked if he would like to stay, he said it wasn't even a consideration due to wigan but when it was it would be up to highest bidder. He was very polite but shrugged his shoulders and smiled when I asked if he would sign for Rotherham.

Unfortunately, it's all down to cash and parent clubs almost always know the market, which is why they loan them out.

Couldn't agree more Ian.  Tavs enjoyed his time here but he displayed loyalty only to one party - Himself.

Don't blame him and I wold have him back but if you go on his twitter page you will see a man happy with life and happy with Wigan.

We move on

I think Hamill will turn out to be a good signing for us. Huddersfield fans seem to think Chris Powell may regret letting him come to us. They are far less complimentary about Ward who on the evidence of the Brentford match could be the surprise package in this deal.It rather reminds me of when we signed Tony Towner and John Seasman, everyone saw Seasman as the makeweight in the package, and look what a player he turned out to be. I just have a feeling that Ward could surprise everybody even those doubting Huddersfield fans. I hope that I'm right.
