Hope you are right Kev but I'm not feeling good about what I'm seeing. Sounds like we couldn't agree personal terms with Revs.

Pringle next?

Brindley next?

Wootten won't be coming back

Becchio wants Leeds

We are looking at Huddersfield reserves

Couldn't agree terms with Agard or Tavs

Worried Kev, really worried

Players come and go, we cant do anything about that, fact.

No use B itching and moaning, we've been in far worse positions or has everyone forgotten that?

I'm a MM member who has ventured over to the dark side following the events of this week, and have to say that you seem a much nicer bunch over here. I may stop for a bit. Forgot to mention that I've changed my "handle" to preserve my annonimmity, sorry, privacy.

As far as the in's and out's go, I'm scared to death, but hope that SE has more of a grasp on what will keep us up than I think he has!

yeah, welcome Lowther boy.  I did the same with the name.  Seems more considered on here and no one yet has decided to become a plank.

Testing days these but it appears SE has calmed some nerves following his appraisal of matters on Radio Sheff. I cant get the station from where I live but I'm a little cynical.  He made comments about Agard when he left which could have been interpreted in a way that suggested Agard wanted away. That would be an untrue. Kieran would have stayed as would Revs if the personal terms hd been met. As for Prings I think he isno longer SE's "son". I'm guessing two strong personalities have clashed. Prings should have been left on the left imo and since say November has looked out of sorts and at loggerheads with SE. Very noticeable when Ledesma arrived on the scene.

Still, as others have said, whatever the reasons for player departures, we all move on together and hope we can make signings to keep us up.  This is Evan's biggest test yet and he may pull the rabbit out of the hat again.

All the best

Prings has a Firey personalaty and somewhat wears his heart on his sleavem8  just like Big Steve. When things are going well then there's no problem, when the wheels start to fall off then there could be a bit of friction, you could say just likr in a lot of Father-Son relationships. smile

Just put Prings on the Left and build the Team around that! Simples.

 Welcome.

That's a beautiful picture. I can see it's a modern photo, but it looks like a beautiful classic Gainsborough!

What and where is it?

Yep! When ledesma came it was the beginning of the end for pringle. I must say, I think evo has got this one right. Another sad parting from a great few seasons, but we need to push on a little more. I think Prings has some unique qualities, but we don't have enough to exploit them.

In the context it's a move that was around the corner I feel in all honesty.  Whether the timing is right I don't know, we'll know in 4 months.  Rev's was a great servant to this club, and he has earned his pay day.  I don't think he'll pull up any trees at Cardiff, and they're a massive club who will probably be less forgiving.  But if he's getting 10k a week to run in the resy's and train - that's not his or our problem, the people that will feel the effect most is that utterly weird chairman of theirs.

It's refreshing that we're now at last starting to hear Evans and Raynor finally publicly acknowledging the final 3rd isn't and hasn't been good enough.  Although, I feel personally this is not to do with Revs but more with the 5/6 players behind him - I worry that without a player like him absolutely nothing is going to stick.  If the management think that Bowery can step into this right now I will truly think they've lost it, I also don't hold out much hope he can be this kind of player through coaching.  Target men are what they are, at any age and at any level of football, they're instantly recognisable & we've been blessed to have had some pretty darn good ones over the last 20yrs, going right back to Tony Cunningham (sorry can't remember much beyond that!).

It's good to see they have recognised we need youth, pace and exuberance as that seems to be the way of modern football.  Even at youth level, it's all about possession, organisation and the attacking aspect of the game, with very little emphasis on creating defenders, and those of a mould to defend against it.  Even full backs and 1 centre back are now seen as integral to forward passages of play.

This 'evolution' though should have been carried out in the summer, not in January where the market competition is much stiffer.  This summer was a massive failure by management.  Culling a promotion team in it's first season was suicide, we lost the momentum which would probably see us at least 15 points better off to where we are.  Once the 50 point****, then should have been the time to try new things, new types of player, new approaches ready for the summer transfer window, to carry through to next season.  Is this naivety? - no, Evans and Raynor have been around the block enough to know better.  As it's been mentioned elsewhere, I think they've hit the wall their talents / experience / learning will allow them.  Unless something changes in that respect with them (coaching badges, upstairs help etc), I don't think they'll get the time they require to move the club onto the next stage which is Championship sustainability, I think they'll be moved on or we'll be back in L1 before that happens.

Ex, I think that is a sound post and brilliant summary.

I hope your conclusion is a little wrong because I think the management team have been tremendous in every other respect.

They have been full value in terms of effort, performance, excitement and raising the positive profile of the club I'm the media.

I have met Ben and his very beautiful girlfriend at his bar in Spain. He is a clever if somewhat complex kid who happens to play football. Thank God twitter has been invented to keep us in touch with his huge dilemma.
