Booth the devil Stewart the god

Reading posts on another Millers forum there is great anger aimed at posters who have had the temerity to suggest TS ought to spend more on the team.  I see why the working man will always be shafted; he's his own worst enemy.  TS took over RUFC, moved away from Millmoor and built NYS on the basis of a calculated investment decision and not because he was a good Samaritan. His property company owns the stadium and I suspect he is getting a decent return on his investment: he certainly has a saleable asset.  The same people who queue up to kiss his rrse slag off the Booths and Purshouses.  Yet I suspect if you did the maths you would discover that as a proportion of turnover and percentage of asset value of the club those maligned devils actually invested more into RUFC than Saint Tony.  It's simply business and I don't care a fig for Stewart.  The day he thinks he can make more by walking away he will.

he's giving us a chance to thrive and be competetive, he's not holding the Club back and he's given Rotherham as a Town a shot in the arm.

If Tony Stewart can make money whilst doing all the good then so be it.

Tony Stewart deserves a Medal worship.gif

Somewhat unrelated to the heart of the matter for me ridgeway.

TS, has shone a beacon of hope for many thousands attached to the club. In this respect he is so very different from the family affair of the other 2 dynasties.

his personality and behaviour does not support the idea he cares little for anything other than a saleable asset. Of course it's possible to be synical and correct, but why would anyone want to be those two things.

What I acknowledge is energy, vision, intelligence, and a common purpose attached to some reasonable values. It's unrealistic to expect a saint. Saints don't have anything to do with the world and it's affairs after all.

No! What he has achieved is cause for celebration as well as the fact he is an (hopefully) astute businessman.
