I feel for him. He's actually a very good player (tonnes better than JCH & Bowery) but for whatever reason it's just not happened for him at Rotherham.
I agree he needs to move on but we'll struggle to find another Dicko.
It's time Evans got real about Derbyshire and waved him goodbye. Signing him was a mistake Steve, he has never been a prolific goalscorer. Good foot baller yes, goalscorer no. But make no mistake, offloading him may be easier said than done. I don't think clubs will be queuing up to take him.
In response to One-day. Yes we do have some fans who abuse players, I am not one of them. In over 60 years of supporting the MIller's I have never abused a single player. Anyone who pulls on the shirt gets my support. I agree with you it's just not happening for Derbyshire, that's why he needs to go, for his own good. I will wish him all the best for the future, as I would any former Rotherham player.
The numerous, and yes it is numerous open goals he's missed, for a guy on his wages is utterly inexcusable. Time to go, but in a queue with about 10 others
I don't blame SE for signing him as how was he to know he was going to be gash. Derbyshire was the only signing i felt excited about. What a let down.
So if we had a love in and a group hug with Derbyshire he would start banging the goals in? Get real pal. FFS
We simply haven't the time or the money to nurture a player who is misfiring and low on confidence. Much as I feel for him, he needs to either go or at least go on loan to try and get some idea of where the goal is.
if the fans would support Derbyshire instead of abusing him then he would score as many goals as any other striker we could afford.
But this is Rotherham and we like to abuse players so yes, he needs to leave.
I used to agree with this, but how many chances does the guy need? He's had more than a fair crack of the whip and simply hasn't produced. I don't for one minute believe that is solely down to fans.

I agree Pod, he would do a good job for Ronnie at Hartlepool
