I've said all season neither the club nor the manager appreciated what was needed in the Championship. Now hopefully the self-delusional Evans will face reality and TS will perhaps realise that fatuous bull about the Premiership needs to be backed by quality and serious investment in the team.
I was at Wembley and any neutral would say Orient were the better team. Revell's goal obscures the fact that we were second best. On the way home I said to my mate we'll have to strengthen to survive next season. Strengthen my rrse. We lost Agard, Tavernier and Vuckic and this squad is weaker than the one that won promotion. It's laughable.
The main issue is the money spent on new signings last summer and since then haven't been good enough. The likes of Loach, Broadfoot, Wood, Newton, Brandy, Derbyshire have all added zilch this season. How much money wasted in those guys alone?
Not really sure we have 'wasted' money as such, because they didn't really cost a deal in the scheme of things. However, they have cost that most precious commodity; Time!
They cost a deal in wages, for which we are not getting a return for on the pitch, which equals a waste.
Money that could've gone elsewhere on players that could actually contribute something positive.

^^^^ Cant argue with that m8
No transfer fee doesnt mean they arent taking from the budget. We need quality not quantity, and asap!

Agree. Invest in Championship quality or go back to Lge 1.
We are a Lge 1 team with a chance of becoming a Championship side - but not for nowt.
Crossroads time in the club's recent history and I hope we can find that investment. It will be difficult to get out of Lge 1 again. We so need to keep momentum and get our fight back.
Unlike others, I wasn't sick at today's score line. It's been coming. Did anyone notice how we stopped the passing game and reverted back to hoofing it? Course we didn't have poor old Revs. So now we have a batch of players of mainly Lge 1 standard, playing in a two tier system which has depended on up to say 6 short term loan signings to enact, most of which have gone awol. Current squad doesn't know what the hell it's supposed to be doing. Look at Prings, he cannot be that bad.
One striker, one Centre back, Becchio back or equivalent and Arnie in front of back four. That might do it but it will cost us say £5 million. If we can't do that as a minimum, we simply are not capable of staying up. That's because we have lost our fighting spirit and after performances like today's we will have lost any team spirit and Evo will lose the Dressing room.
Critical time this and we have only one chance of getting this right.
We need a quality CB a RB and right Winger, maybe Wooton going to CB, his best position with Arnie going into Midfield? Then there's the Striker thats going to get us the goals we need to stay up?
Over half way through the season and in 19th place having only lost 8 games and conceded 30 goals.
Brentford are in 8th place having lost 8 games and conceded 35 goals. Difference being they have scored 19 more goals than us. If Evans can pull a rabbit out of the hat and land another Dicko then we will be fine.

Interesting.
Very!
The odd goal here and there would be a good help to climb the table, question is who is going to score the goals?
Maybe if the players were to shoot on site more then we would be converting these draws into wins? We dont seem to shoot as much as the previouse two seasons if you dont shoot then...... Just look at Brindley, he had a go and was rewarded.
