We did, but then we always do, as my wife has MS and struggles to get through a crowd of people, without colliding with someone. Glad to hear the cheers though as we walked back along Main Street.
Great to see you posting again Pod. Was afraid the trolls on the main site had ruined it for you.
Glad we got lucky, we've suffered on the wrong end of luck enough this season.
^^^ Totally agree on both points
I cant go early from a game, I just dont see the point but can understand Unifier and his situation though, as for the other hundreds or thousands? they cant have a valid reason not to stay and give their full support to the team that never gives up! Lord knows what the players think when theres a mass exodus?
The game had been dire from our perspective, but any fans who have been watching the Millers for any length of time and without good reason should know better!
Didn't but my word - worst collective performance I've seen this season. Prings wouldn't have shown for the 2nd half he was that dire. And Ledesma, fkin learn to know what you're going to do with the ball before you receive it, you know something we're taught in this country at 8yrs old! And Evans please learn VERY quickly, you have the players to cause damage, bloody use them where they are effective. Smallwood AND Green in midfield at home is utterly unacceptable and getting weary. After that rant what a come back, so pleased when Frecks popped up where he does best and smacked in that belter!
I am going to be totally big headed here and say that when jch came on I turned to derbymiller and said we could get 2 goals out of this now we have a strike force.
Smug mode.
Also we are at the top of the stands so when you stop late you leave last.

So many times we play our most effective football in the last ten minutes...but that is how top class sport often goes. So much is won and lost in the closing stages of sport. It's always worth staying till the end if you can but entirely reasonable to leave if you feel the need.
I said to my mate that we still had a big chance of getting something from the game and I never felt otherwise - not usually the overly optimistic type, but I could see the shape of the game change rapidly and knew we would force chances..., so I stayed.

Oh my lord I wanted to, only because my bladder was pleading with me to go. But mind over bladder won !.I learned from an early age not to go early , I know many people have a valid reason but the game is 90+ minutes.
We left on 85 mins. Mainly because we had family over for the game and they were stuck on the front row of the West Stand and were getting drenched and had enough.
I would've probably given it a couple more minutes and gone anyway so would possibly have missed the goals regardless.
I don't get the obvious pride that certain fans have if they stay until the end of the game. I've had a season ticket at the club for the last 17 years, have ploughed money into the club and if I choose to leave early that's up to me and makes me or anyone else that does no less of a fan.

Don't think anybody was making accusations that those that left early were any less a fan, it's just a bit daft. When I go to the game home or away, I invest in watching 90 minutes plus of football. Everybody knows that anything can happen in football and with this team more so than most and win, lose or draw we stay to applaud the lads off at the final whistle.
All credit to the lads for the comeback. I really didn't see it coming with 2 goals needed to claw back.
Have to admit leaving on 85 is the earliest I have in a long long while.
