And one always seems to drop like a stone from mid-table.  I'm hoping it's Wednesday but got a feeling that Charlton have been riding their luck and living off their early season form.  I think they will nose dive after Christmas.

We beat Charlton on Saturday and we go above them.  Maybe one of my predictions is coming true for a change.

We could plunge Charlton into the mire on Saturday, but I think its only a matter of time, they are dropping like a stone which is good for us biggrin

^^^^ I wrote this the other day and it didnt post? Anyway I can see some other names to be mentioned in the not too distant future, Charlton one for sure.

But not in that order.

Grab a point at Charlton. Any more would be mighty fine.

COME ON YOU MILLERS!

Another valuable point gained at Charlton.

I think Forest, Charlton and Cardiff are all potential relegation candidates.

I think it will go down to the wire. Last two to three games of this season will probably sort out the teams up for relegation. I think it will be that close.

Millers 2 - Tractors 0 ( blue collars v land owners)

6 points clear!

17 to go- A bit irrelevant that last bit, but the season will start to narrow very quickly from here on in...

Could my Charlton prediction actually come true? Can't buy a win at the minute.

Those unexpected 3 points v Ipswich were just as well.

2-1 loss to Blackburn and points all around us: winners tonight: millwall 3pts, Brighton 1pt, leeds (looking like 3 pts. bolton 3pts.

losers: us, Fulham, Charlton, blackpool (doomed).

Gap back to the 3 points we have lived with for the last several weeks...

I've looked at all the remaining fixtures for the bottom half of the table and it seems to me we have the toughest run - in.

That being said there also seems to be lots of the bottom teams about to play each other.

God knows why I'm so excited. Usually id just be nervous. Maybe I think we are currently not favourites for the drop.

I think I've put blackpool to bed ( sorry lads n lasses you have had an awful season on and off the park).

Wigan!!! No matter what they do it don't change a thing. How on earth they ended up here this season I do not know. However, the squad has got worse over the season and it has to be assumed that they are trying to trim the budget and the analyst's got this one wrong.

Malky has a far worse record that uwe who Dw dumped off wigan peer.  What's malky had, something like 20 games!

I wonder if he ain't gone coz they tight for cash or DW has just given up the ghost.

They have been a bit too big n successful to write them off this early ...but it will require a 50% win ratio from here.

Millwall! Millwall! Millwall! How i long remember the strains of your warrior chants rolling around masbro in the 70s when I was a boy. And the smashed cars and windows and threatening behaviour to us 5-10 yrs old on the streets. Only you and sheffield wednesday did this kind of thing. I digress. Holloway is a very tricky and smart gifted chap. I think he's gonna get em out you know.

As others have noted, for a few weeks, now, charlton are looking ropey. I remember thinking they were v lucky to get a result at our place and equally fortunate at theirs. I though they had little sparkle strength or shape. Mind u I though that of the blue noses and look what they went n done.

Brighton despite being down there don't spring to many people's minds. Poor as they have been that big stadium and south coast knowledge and sophisticated outlook seems to give em a special card to play at the right time-I think they will survive.

Leeds and reading seem to have too much fire power now. Can't see hem getting dragged deep in. Or maybe I'm giving em too much respect.

Huddersfield done v well under Powell who has made some real managers decisions and that are paying off, but, I still think they could get sucked back in.

Bolton are too good and will climb the league.

Fulham...what another odd team full of top earners and they are just doing enough. Just! Yep. I loved em in the prem but down here I haven't warmed to them. Bad enough to go down? Inconsistent as hell! Who knows maybe they could get caught and panic.

Millers! Ou to ou to be ou to be a miller!

We have a very pragmatic team that has now some increased ability to keep ball and wonder of wonders we can know get behind a defense and have matt the cat who previously had been like a cat on a hot tin roof but has now swapped his philandering with the alley cats and decided to let his pedigree show .

All the signs are that we will do better in this last third that the previous two individual thirds.

We got 33 points from 30.

16 games left...

Half of 33 is 17 ish

33 + 17 is...u guessed, 50!

the x to the y equals a variance of 0.004 and with a east westerly we might just get enough lift for another few points.

Doing better than that equation though so I'm putting another 4 points on to reflect our form and we finish on 54 points. There! I think ive nailed it.

One more thing!  Is anyone, like me, expecting more wins n losses in this period and only a few draws which has been our trend.?

It's inconceivable that Blackpool can extract themselves from the bottom three.

For some reason, Wigan cannot put two good performances together and I'm not sure they've got what it takes to avoid the drop.

The third drop spot is up for grabs. The trend of recent form would suggest that Charlton are favourites, but Millwall blow hot and cold and can't be ruled out.

Rotherham's recent form is good and I would imagine the teams around us will be thinking that it's unlikely we'll be sucked in.

The great thing is, every game is going to be crucial and the results of other teams will have a major bearing on our fate.  It could be worse, we could be languishing mid table in League 2 and looking forward to the cricket season!

Another tense week has passed with wins for Wigan, Charlton, draws for the Mighty millers and a loss for Millwall and Fulham.

Slightly further up the table Reading lost leaving them 7 points off the bottom along with Bolton and Cardiff (a figure that feels safe but actually cant be). Evo reckons anyone on 38 is still in danger and this would take us right up to 13th place and the 'mighty' leeds.

The millers are now 4 points above relegation with 15 games to go.

Tonight sees an very important clash in the relegation fight:

Wigan V Charlton.

Difficult to know the best result for the Millers so I m going to hope for a 0-0 Draw.

Yes you would think Charlton would have what it takes to at least limp over the points needed line to earn safety.

Come you Millers! Let's make a move up the table.

We can do it.

Believe!

Still Wigan, Blackpool and Millwall holding up the table.

Things may change over next few weeks though I think. Millwall could escape from relegation zone.
