What I have noticed so far.

Well, been here for three days and first time in a decade so here are some positive and less so observations.

Positives

NYS biggrin

Most things (not petrol) is cheaper here

Friendly folk

loving the winter weather and walking in a winter countryside, beautiful

 

less so

The town seem to be almost closed in places though some major structural changes.

TV is full of dumbed down pap

Manchester airport, tried to get  a trolley for luggage and thought it was stuck so applied pressure, woman in uniform came over and said "you have to pay for those" Seriously?.......... be charging for oxygen soon.

No doubt further observations to follow, but all in all having a smashing time. Cant wait till tomorrow UTM.

A winter countryside - what you mean snow?

TV is utter garbage - if we could adblock TV's they'd go back to 5 channels, the quality of programming would be better (liek it was), and maybe we could even get more live footy on there!

Paying for a trolley isn't that bad when considering at John Lennon airport you've got to secure them with the deeds to your house.

I hope you haven't come all this way to not see us score, goals & meaningful chances are few and far between these days.

But I've predicted 3-1 tomorrow and I'm usually rightish as to how many we'll score - just the opposition I have issues with!

No snow yet, but the fresh air and English countryside has an appeal, hopefully snow before I go mid Jan.
