And do you know what grates me?

They have a pop at my business as well! - totally pathetic.  I've been doing computer stuff self employed for 10 years, and if it wasn't for the situation of my wife I'm sure would be a very good earner, at least I'm not sat on my aris, claiming everything under the sun and moaning about how tough life is.  Instead I look after her and my families needs, and in the odd 2 hours here and there, sometimes until late into the night I try and earn some cash and pay some taxes.

For the record, I've been going for 10 years for a reason, I don't take the ****, I certainly do no charge '£85 + VAT' to install free software.  They should get their facts straight, I'm not even VAT registered the ******** idiots.

I setup another site, so what? - there's room.  Is it my fault mods failed to react to links to this site? - no it isn't.  What's even funnier is if people wanted to link to MM or Vital or whoever on this site I couldn't give a hoot, I don't see it as a threat.  We have a good thing here, eventually the cream will rise, but that is a choice users will make themselves.

Perhaps they're just getting a bit miffed about having to go to tinypic to post an image or are cursing at the fact they cant embed a video, or for those of you that like our split - hate the fact that OT is mixed into the same messageboard.

...or just maybe - it's that bikini clad lady boy at the bottom of the screen?

Vent over disbelief

Seriously I dint go on it anymore - I've had my fill of the level of insensitivity.

Sorry to hear they are criticising you and this board. It's a compliment of course, but it hurts and you're quite right to feel like you do.

As S8 suggests, rise above it. You know your motivation and yes this board is technically far superior so one hopes decent people will use it more and more.

Don't get riled, Exeter, or rise to the bait of comments over the line from banter.

As far as I can see it's just a couple of posters on MillersMad, unless I've missed something. They have a viewpoint but, if they haven't got their facts right, go on there and correct them. An argument or discussion should start by being copper-bottom on facts.

Having several Millers' sites can only be a good thing, and if most choose to stay, or only to post on, MillersMad, then that's fine. This site seems to have attracted some, e.g. Poddington, who appear to have given up on MM, others may choose to drift between the two sites (I've never really used the Vital site as it seemed a pleasant, but rather private, club for a few posters who'd moved off MM years ago. Is that unfair?)

As soon I can get in touch with BigRich to sort out my log-in/user name problems, I'll post back on MMad too, as well as on here. Competition between sites can only be healthy and keep everyone on their toes.

In the meantime, perhaps this spat with Howdy, etc, could be settled by reasonable debate, not sniping at each other?

As said Exeter...take no notice of any criticism from MM.

Ive not seen the criticism as I dont want to risk getting a virus from them.

Its usually the under achievers on there who dish out the unpleasantness so surprised that howdy's name has come up as I quite like his posts usually although he can be a bit abrasive at times.

I hope we can attract some of the more sophisticated supporters over to add a bit extra to what we have but many of the riff raff over there we would not want.

Its a bit rich criticising you and this site from a site that allows so much racist, sexist, sometimes ****phobic, abusive and childish stuff on.

I have not seen a single post on this site that would fall into any of the above categories and that reflects how the site is run and the quality of its members.

Its a shame that bigrich has disabled my account over there or I could have let them have it with both barrels.

Obviously theres room for more than one Millers site, Vital have been going for some time now  but ive never posted on there. (I may go  have a look see)  eyepopping.gif

Everyone has their choice in what to do and where to do it, I just feel theres room to post on all three sites if you really want  and use whichever you want to. 

Ive not posted on mm for some time now but I have had a look in from time to time, thats until the Ads etc get me down and then I come away.  frustrated.gif

It does seem like a few have a " its us or them mentality" on mm and I just cant work out why? confused.gif  We are all Millers and in my eyes Three Boards are far better than One, or Two biggrin Other Teams have numerous Boards to make use of so why shouldnt we smile

More importantly the users are more friendly.

Any decent Millersmadders looking in....come and join us...try a post....deano has.

User friendly...no adverts...no childishness....no abuse.....no racism...no sexism....no pathetic biased moderating..infact moderators are redundant on here.

MM is always good if you want to be abused for your views by fellow Millers fans whove usually had a few drinks too many and who think its clever to split hairs cry

A lot of the blame must fall on the moderators of MM...They showed limited enthusiasm for controlling the negatives and tended to join in and form a clique.

They took little notice of the opinions of its members and virtually abandoned them.

Now of course they have turned on Exeter just as they turned on their critics.

Millermad is yesterday's football site and is terminally ill.

The difference between the two sites is there for any reader to see.

I just hope that more reasonable posters will defect from that awful site and join us on here.
