you read the posts on all the boards and it is clear the fans can see our weaknesses and the things that need to be considered, what worries me evans in his interview never mentions them it is just the same thing, work harder and more players.
are interviewers scared of him or is he such a baby that he will throw his toys out of his cot if asked the difficult questions.
1. why persist with long ball
2. why no pace at the back
3. why not give the 750k strike force a run in the team
4. why play revell
5. why do so many players never get a chance under him
6. why aren't we bringing young players through
7. why don't you bring in an experienced coach at this level or higher to help you and raynor out
8. why don't you have someone in the stand to feed info to you on the pattern of play that you clearly miss
9. do you honestly believe shouting at the officials will ever help us
instead of having ago at me why not have a discussion about the point i raise. Unless you think that none of the questions are valid or that you think he is asked difficult questions
also don't assume that we have all been 100% happy with what we have seen so far, also don't assume that if we are challenging with questions we are doing it for any other reason than we love the club and they are genuine challenges.
I don't know why SE isn't asked the tough questions, the enigma for me is, regardless of playing the fruitless long ball game on Saturday, why were we so lacklustre without the ball, we were exactly the same against Reading, and i don't understand it at all, it's not tiredness. We are miles behind all the other teams in terms of how much we pay, so we have to do what we're good at, and that's working harder than anyone else all over the pitch, closing down all over the pitch, and we never got out of 2nd gear yesterday, very disappointing to say the least.
The long ball can work but the pressing in missing. Indeed, with the pressing it can actually look classy and certainly exciting.
I think SE does get some tough questions, but he doesn't get very intelligent ones. They tend to be sound bites.
I dont think anyone in and around the club wants to ask those kind of direct questions and those in the media dont really care. Besides, the answer to all tough questions is always somewhat evasive and by there very nature its all that can be expected. At the end of the day though DM, SE will be judged on how he answers your type of questions whether they are aired in public or not.
Hopefully Saturday will finally have proven that if we panic and play hoof ball to Revell we will get relegated. If we play to Bpwery and JCH the opposition will have something to worry about. Especially when they are an unknown quantity together.
On saturday, for the first time ever i think, i wanted SE to take Revs off, i love Revs and his attitude to the game, but saturday he was rubbish, simple as that, along with the rest of them i might add. This might sound odd but i'd have definitely put Derbyshire on, which might have forced us to play to feet a little bit more.
