Ok, I'll go first

just got home from the game and yes ive had a couple of beers but here are my thoughts.

Tactics.  Did we play for a 0-0 draw, it felt like we had a back 8/9 with just one up front, sooo negative we gave their defenders and midfield so much time on the ball that they could pick a pass, lift their heads and have a look around whilst we sank back to the edge of the area.being so deep we never had an out ball, poor revs when he won a header there was never anyone to pick up the second phase. I thought jch had a decent game BUT he needs a supply, I suppose what I'm getting at is we never got our shape or tactics right, this brings me onto my second point.

management.  why didn't we change things, yes we made a change in personal but kept the same ineffective style, were the players told to defend the final 1/3  and not get at Birmingham higher up the pitch which has made us so competitive the last few seasons.

recruitment. We needs much better scouting system. the players we are getting in are no better than our current squad so WHY are we taking them, if we cant get quality in the right areas then why waste our money? We need a couple of Quality signings but can we recognise them. Will we end up paying 1m for a player we never should have let go (Agard).

We have had a good look at this division and know what we need and what to expect. No excuses we all know what needs to be done so come on evens lets get back to an attacking team, I'd rather go down fighting and have a real go at the remainder of the season

last,  please have a go at goal yes that includes you Mr frecklington

The point re tactics.

The manager sets the team up, and so I am certain what we see most games is the team trying to execute the shape. Is the shape correct for the opposition and does it also bring the best out in the players?

Whatever the answer it's the managers responsibility.

Recruitment has failed. There can't be any doubt about it at this point. Only 2 players have made a positive impact out of a dozen plus! Who recruits? What makes a good recruiter? There is  Plenty of evidence all around the world of football and outside. Bournmouth know how to do it. Simon Cowell knows how to do it. Skill based recruiters know how to do it.  None of the political parties know how to do it. And judging by my track records in wife's I don't know how to do it I'm being harsh. All wife's are equally bad.

Sit down and go through bournmouth s team, or brentford. You won't find anything particularly different in terms of the pool of talent we have all been fishing in. It's not like all rich educated women/men make better people. It's about noticing who is best for the job out of what's available.

Now we are here in the championship we need recruiter's who have an eye for the job. We don't need recruiters who can only see through there own limited perspective. Listen any day of the week to David pleat and compare his vision and language to what we hear week in week out from some other pundits. That's the gap in vision I am referring to.

why do some clubs bring in the much maligned technical director? Now we know,  and I think the club has been naive in this regard. As far as I know we don't have anyone with ability or experience in the management set up with championship written through them like a stick of rock from Blackpool.

All the players we had last season had previously never figured in the championship level, or been let go at that level with arnie as possibly the one exception.

All the players we have brought in with the exception of the 2 who have made a positive contribution have likewise never held down a place at a higher level.

I don't like the conclusion this brings me too, but it all points to one thing; we have failed to acknowledge what this level is all about and for this season it may already be too late.
