20 minutes before kick off.

This morning I felt certain we would win by a margin.

On the way up, I felt a slight depression.

Here at the ground my psychic ability has deserted me.

Frankly, this Millers side have relegation written right through it like a stick of Blackpool rock.
The summer signings haven't been good enough, while our standout performers from last season, Pringle & Frecklington have been found to be in over their heads at Championship level.
Today was about as bad as it gets, lump the ball up to Revs & see what happens, no plan B. Birmingham aren't a good side but we made em look like Barcelona.
In Steve we trust???? I'll ask again in February!!!

Summed it up perfectly brad. Truly awful. Our poor defence was let down by an even poorer (non-existent) midfield. The gaps all over the park were embarrassing. In this respect I feel for revs. He and JCH had no support at all.

For me only pringle (industry and passion) Collin (superb and professional) and JCH (showed real glimpses of pace, power and confidence) can hold there head up.
I fear the worst.

Most disappointing performance for long long time. Difficult to imagine that virtually everyone could have such a bad day. I thought at one stage that it wasn't going to be Birmingham's day and that they would rue not scoring the 3 or 4 goals that they deserved. However, to lose to such an extraordinary goal was bizarre. I think Collin will be disappointed that he didn't come out for the through ball - I think he would have got there before their CF. However, having made a fantastic save, how did the CF then manage to pick himself up off the floor and score without being challenged?!

Other main observation is that Championship teams have got the measure of Revell. I don't like the long ball game but if we're going to play it, Revs can't feign interference every time he goes for the ball. If he makes a genuine effort to win the ball, he's invariably successful. Can't understand why he's all of a sudden started to hit the deck so often.

Don't want to be too negative because it might just be one of those days. Trouble is, being in the bottom three brings additional pressures that we could do without. It's going to take extraordinary grit and determination to get anything out of any game and we can't afford a repeat of today's level of application.

Roll on Blackpool and the kind of performance that this team is capable of.

I am now beginning to worry a little, whether that's justified or not remains to be seen. The recent performances against Middlesbrough, Reading and now Birmingham don't fill me with confidence. Like it or not, we are a team who are in a dogfight at the bottom end. This was expected and is no surprise to me. It's easy to forget the positives this season. Namely, the win at Millwall, beating Wolves (albeit against the run of play), the second half against Leeds and so on. I feel we are still being a little too cautious and need to believe in ourselves a bit more. Sometimes I feel we give teams too much respect and sit deep. Last season we attacked teams and threw more caution to the wind. I'm not saying by any stretch that we should do that in every game this season, the Championship is a very different beast, but we are almost 'lambs to the slaughter' when we sit back and lump the ball forward to Revell. I still believe in Evans' ability to dig us out of this, but Revell has been found out in this division and there are some players who are obviously finding the step up a struggle (Frecklington for starters). We need to get back to basics starting with Blackpool next week, despite their position they will be no mugs. Play to our strengths and take the game to teams. If we don't we may well be cut adrift before February is out.

yesterdays game was very worrying. Birmingham were made to look good by us sitting off them. our game is in your face football, ok it don't work everytime, but at least its better than yesterdays performance
