If you wanna go for it Exeter How about this. I have long wondered if Smallwood has slighty the better vision and thus would be effective higher up with Green and his super Diesel engine covering behind and pushing Smallwood up.

For me, I don't think you should have Smalls & Greeny in at the same time unless you want more control without being fussed about getting a goal, because in essence that invariably happens. Good to keep it tight away from the off or defending a slender lead. At home, those two in the same side doesn't fill me with much excitement apart from sideways passing!
I agree in part. The few games they were on the pitch together we looked fairly composed, but lacking a cutting edge.
However, my master stroke is to reverse Green and Smallwood and have smallwood in a more advanced role as he tends to be more accurate and passes over shorter distances giving less chance of the opposition counter attacking, while providing insisive passes for JCH and Bowery to split the centre, or feed prings on the left with Frecks in a free role.
basically, if we play this formation tomorrow we will win 19-12.

Exeter - I can think of many scenarios worse than a 1-0 victory!
Our problem is how to play when we do find ourselves 1-0 up. Unfortunately our tendency is to drop the whole team back 10 yards thereby inviting the opposition into our half. I can understand the temptation to protect a valuable lead but I reckon our best form of defence is attack however it takes a brave management decision to adopt that tactic.
Today, if we have the luxury of taking the lead, I would like to see us forget any respect we might have for the opposition and go for the kill. A 3-1 lead with 10 minutes to go would sit much easier with me than hanging on to a slender one goal lead!
