They can keep all their Adverts, Trolls, Armchair Experts, Pi55 Heads, wind up Merchants, and Bigots.  yawn.gif

Notice how they're trying to steal on my ideas.  At the end of the day, they're fighting a faceless corporation, this is ours to do with as we choose

I like this site, hope it keeps clean, but as Evans says , a rollercoaster ride.

The Trolls will come as Trolls do, but the main thing is .

"Don't feed the Trolls"

Answer them and then you have lost.

Noticed this forum getting stick on there, i really don't see the issue with some of them on there, dinosaurs some of them just can't take change, and already see this as a rival, i don't see it that way at all, and this really is a refreshing change to be honest, MM still has great posters on there, and i hope they will join here too, more the merrier.

Really shouldn't be a them and us situation....we're all Millers aren't we....or so the saying goes.

I'll carry on posting on all 3 sites (inc Vital, which i used to co-edit many moons ago) as and when i feel the need or want.

 I agree Zip it is a shame we can't all come together - can't see why Rich wouldn't blow out the footy mad folks after how they treated us all recently.

I have no problem with Millers Mad, I stopped posting on there really because several people were becoming overly abusive and it wasn't worth posting anymore. I hope this site is different. There are several posters on Millers Mad who were worth reading, namely Zilzal, Mandy, DavidR, Zippy and others of that ilk. Frog, Brin, Nez and the like are decent too. It's a shame it's come to this, but it's not if you know what I mean?

Its sad to hear that Pod, some on MM have got away with so much without any sign of chastising and it seems they are used to doing just what they want now.

Im sure i'll still do what I usually do and quickly read the posts and threads that I want without logging in and do my posting on here.

I feel for the Mods on there.

I think over the years it has become too abusive and clique. That is as much a function of the years as it is of weak leadership and several personalities.

Of course the adds and general appalling maintenance of the site has been the main issue with constant access issues as well as difficulties navigating the site over the last year or so.

This site promises an alternative and I wouldn't mind if those who think it's "them or us" stay "them" and let the rest of us enjoy a decent site.

Millersmad is dying a slow death mainly due to the poor and inconsistent moderating but lets live and let live.

Let this site grow and evolution will take care of millersmad.

Exeter was by far the best mod on millersmad in my view and I have every confidence that he will do a top job here.

 Yes I agree..The cause of its terminal illness is multifactorial....not to mention the virus infection that attacks your browser when in contact with the site.

Exeter will listen to its members...that will be a big difference between the two sites and without seeming to be too snobbish, I feel that this site will be a bit more sophisticated content wise.

Seriously, there is room for more than one, why MM should monoplise the genre I don't know (it certainly doesn't deserve to), as posted above - the natural grain of these things will eventually produce a winner - hopefully it'll be here

The fact that this site is responsive on mobile/tablet etc already makes it 10 steps ahead of MillersMAD, never mind the ridiculous adverts and the fact you can't hit backspace and return to the main page on their as well. Stuck in 2004 the whole platform. confuseconfuse
