Firstly great site Exeter, let's hope we can keep this site rid of the people who have spoilt mm.
The second part of our season really starts next week and we need to win our next 3 games. The annual Evans clear out has begun, so who is he bringing in. The lad from Forest Patterson ticks a lot of boxes, Scottish, young , lower league grounding, lost his way at Forest, right winger but has an eye for goal, so he could be one.
A lot are suggesting Chris Eagles but I hear he has or will be joining Blackpool.
Gary Hooper is another suggested, one I doubt but there again I am usually wrong.
Let's get the debate going, has anyone heard anything or what do you think we need.
For we me we need to get our best players in the team that means 4 2 3 1 and to play that way we need pace wide right and in the full back positions. So a left back with pace a right sided striker with pace, is what I would sign
I am starting to believe we are desperate for a game changer. I really did think becchio was t going to be that man.with him in the side we looked complete for the rest of the season.
There are so many issues with our team that I wouldn't know where to begin without upsetting the fragile 'balance' we have.
Realistically, I'm going to just say we need a penetrative winger, and hope the rest of the team have enough to keep us up.
I don't know who we will sign but I expect Evans to pull a couple of rabbits out of the hat as usual. Whoever it is needs to add some pace to the side. We are far too predictable at this moment in time knocking long balls into Revell and hoping our midfielders can feed on the s****s. May work in Leagues 1 and 2 but we are finding ourselves wanting in the Championship. Looking forward to seeing JCH and Bowrey getting extended runs in the team as well.
Can't see anyone coming in before January, and scared we'll struggle to cope over hectic Xmas period with what we have, but we'll have to wait and see!
The good news is that our pattern of results and play have picked up the last 2 seasons over December-ish.
So, even if we dont bring anyone new in soon-ish the signs are that we will have a better second half of the season than hopefully will be enough to get us over the line.

I am sure SE will do the business. By now he has a pretty good idea of who will cut it in his team and who will not. I expect quite a few will go out on loan or be shipped out permanently in January window with maybe a couple of loan signings coming in soon. It seems to be the way he works. Doubtless the second half of the season will see us drastically improve.
Thanks for the welcome on the off topic page Kevin.
I am enjoying this site its nice to be able to make a post without all the login hassles and quirks of posting on MM. Thanks Exeter ... great job
