Hull And Beyond

A good point on Saturday from our visit to Hull.I certainly would have taken that before the off. However, are there worrying signs emerging at the end of the season?

According to Stats( i weren't there) we had three shots at goal but none of those on target. I think it is fair to say that since Barlaser has gone our creativity has diminished considerably. Our set pieces are awful(lack of height in their box not helping) so scoring goals is going to be a big problem in the last eight games. It always has been a problem away this season as we are the lowest scorers away in the league. At home only the top three clubs have scored more.

It looks like Taylor is going to set up especially away to not concede. What about at home?.The last two home games against Preston and Cardiff we hardly looked like a free scoring home side. Taylor is reluctant to play two up top and i agree with him. If we start off like that our midfield imo would be overrun. It looks like he will play a flat back four. He then sits Coventry in front of it (jury out about him imo) we then have two wide players usually Chieo and Ferguson with any combo of Rathbone,Lindsay,Oddoffin, Fosu and we can now add Quina when able to start in the middle. This leaves Hugill up top alone. No doubt our chances of scoring would improve if we could get Rathbone and Wiles on the pitch. If we can get either or both on the pitch in most of our remaining games i think we will stay up, without them i think the trap door might open. Can Quina play wide left when back in contention? He would offer more of an attacking threat than Fergie imo.

I think the worrying thing about Saturdays games was obviously the wins for Huddersfield and Wigan but also all the clubs below us found the back of the net. Q.P.R are in free fall so maybe they might be the side to get above. i do think Wigan and Blackpool will go down. W.B.A. at home gives us a chance of getting something as i believe these are no longer a top side in this league.
