Dean Holden - 2/1

Paul Hurst - 11/4

Gareth Ainsworth - 3/1

Mark Bonner - 5/1

Matt Taylor - 9/1

Richard Wood - 16/1

Dean Holden led the way for some time now and plenty of local journalists talking him up. Think he's probably the man.

Whoever gets the job will get my full support although Holden has me completely underwhelmed.
Hursty no relevant Championship experienced & was a failure at Ipswich.
Ainsworth please god no, it'd be like going back to the Evans era only worse, abhorrent tactics.
Bonner, my preferred option, gets our type of club, commitment & hard work a prerequisite, plays good football
Taylor, ditto, done really well on a tight budget
Woody, knows us, gets us, hopefully likes us, been around it forever, get an experienced number 2 & I'm in.

The wrong appointment could concieveably set us back ten years

Would agree with your last remark Brad. Don't know much about most of the proposed list but Having read about Bonner, he looks like he'd be a good fit.

With you on Holden Brad. Seems to have a very good reputation in football circles without doing anything of note.

His appointment would feel very Neil Redfearn like.

His odd have shortened again however so looking more and more likely.

Bonner now odds on and looking increasingly likely. I agree with those who have said he seems to tick all the boxes. He has done a similar job at Cambridge to what Warne did with us. Young and ambitious. His Cambridge side caused us tons of problems last season. I thought both Redfearn and Stubbs were good decisionss so what do I know, but to me it looks a good appointment.

Would have more confidence with this one more than any other of the names realistically linked. Cambridge were a solid side last season after promotion and he has them doing very well again.

Bonner now staying at Cambridge according to Paul Davis.

Worrying when we can’t lure a league one manager.

It's a bit humiliating if he turned us down. Couldn't sign the players we wanted and now can't get the manager we wanted. Is this perhaps why Warne left. More questions than answers at the moment

Wonder if there's even a plan B?
All the eggs in one basket springs to mind?
Never boring @RUFC is it?

Some of the stories I have heard about the “special relationship “ are eye opening. This chairman can’t continue to live on goodwill forever. The odds on relegation have shortened rapidly and, when we ought to be celebrating where we are, many supporters are becoming more disillusioned.

PW's first Derby press conference told more about his relationship with the chairman if you read between the lines.
Difficult decision but 100% the right decision, probably not word for word but that's what he meant..mmmmm?

Mentioned on another thread its getting to the point where TS and his family need to have a think what the long term is now. We cant keep losing out on players / staff to teams in lower divisions. Naturally its disheartening to the supporters.

No disrespect to Rotherham?
Summats gone on there that'll never see the light of day, not officially anyway.

As Splinter said further up. Never quite got the impression the relationship was as strong as it was made out.

He sounded quite jaded on several of his interviews on the BBC podcasts and I did get the impression then, that he didn't seem happy.....and we'd got promoted!! I think this has been coming for a long time.
