No idea why but we were awful from the first minute. The midfield was non existent and their wingers were going past our wide defenders at will. Still a good start to the season. The know it all moaners will be out in force no doubt because weve lost a match but we will lose a few. Move on regroup and on to the next one.

Felt like that game went on forever last night.

Credit to Sunderland they were on it and have some very talented players but we made it so easy at times, was huge gaps all over the pitch and like you said the midfield were non existent.

We will no doubt lose more but its about how you get beat , thought we didn't really try to lay a glove on them last night.

For that period between about 30 and 40 minutes I thought we might go and win it. It looked liked we had ridden out their start and were growing into it. Once the first goal went in though there was only going to be one outcome. They were picking the ball up in just in front of our back three in alarming amounts of space at times. God knows what was going on there. Our three in midfield were getting pulled around all over the place. I have seen that Norton-Cuffy has won the motm vote by a landslide which has surprised me. He certainly looked a threat going forwards but defensively he had a torrid time and for the crucial second goal he got caught ball watching. His direct opponent Clarke was the standout player on the pitch and he didnt get lots of help so I'm not saying he was particularly poor (I like him), but I thought the back three were heroic at times despite getting virtually no protection.
