All of the teams who have been at or near the top of their league all season have gone into meltdown:
Championship (Fulham & Bournemouth)
League 1 (Wigan, Millers & MK Dons)
League 2 (Forest Green Rovers & Port Vale)
National League (Stockport, Wrexham & Halifax)
Is this because of the limited squad sizes and consequent mental/physical fatigue?
Teams such as Sunderland, who had their meltdown against us and Bolton, then reset with a new manager are finishing better because that’s when their season started.
This doesn’t happen in the Premier League because they have fewer games and much stronger squads and they can buy they way to success.
