All I can say is that it's just such a great time to be a Miller!

Just so Glenn. Wigan and Oxford cancelled each other out too giving us a 3 point lead at the top, which also means that one of Wigan's games in hand is at the moment of little consequence due to our incredible goal difference.

Firing on all cylinders again last night. It's easy to say Donny were poor but they beat MKDons recently and ran Wigan close recently. We just steamrollered them. A brilliant performance.

Smiler/Calypso - thanks for continuing to comment - it's a bit like trying to have a conversation on the Marie Celeste at the moment! After that sensational night at the Eco stadium in Donny, it's on to our season's Boggie team - Accrington Stanley. I've seen them beat us twice and am therefore concerned that we don't give them the full set this weekend. Our first defeat in the EFL cup was down to two very strong strikers AS had. One of them is no longer available so that's a bonus. The league defeat at Accrington, which broke our long unbeaten run, was due to us trying to play AS at their own agricultural game. We have the best midfield in this League and it's essential that we control how the game is played. Keep it on the deck, use our pace and skill out wide and provide our strikers with some quality service in the box. An early goal for us would really help and open the game up to our benefit.

With Wigan busy in the FA cup, we could extend our lead at the top to 6 points. Wigan would have 3 games in hand but one of them is at NYS and there's also our magnificent goal difference. Advantage RUFC at this stage I'd say!

Stanley are no soft touch. They are a big and powerful side and they have some good footballers. Any bigger club looking for a good manager should be looking at the miracle John Coleman performs there year after year but he seems to get overlooked as does our own boss. Unfortunately (perhaps fortunately for us and Accy) the likes of Sunderland and our friends in S6 have an arrogance about them that seems to dictate that they will only consider 'big names'. I think the reason we struggle with Stanley is that they are better equipped than most to handle what we do best. They are unlikely to just roll over like Donny did in response to our power game. We need to be patient and move the ball around. I would very much settle for a win by the odd goal in a scrappy encounter thanks very much.

Glenn, i don’t think the game at the NYS could be counted as one of Wigan’s games in hand.

Good point DNKY but if Wigan lose it, they essentially lose one of their games in hand - ie. 3 games in hand and 9 points behind as opposed to 3 games in hand and 6 points behind - if you know what I mean! blankstare
