Very disappointing but not entirely unexpected. Very little between us and those above us right now, but we have games in hand. Wigan worries me, on form right now with games in hand over everyone. Must say though it seems a bit like daja vu right now from the last time we were here. Today's game and against Stanley are games we should be picking up points from with recent performances not representative of a team who could compete in the Championship. Also with the goals drying up right now I think we could do with another striker, possibly a prem loan to freshen things up a bit and we only have days to do a deal.
Lincoln will be a toughy even if we were still in the form we had a few weeks ago. Just hope Warne can shake em up as and turn it around.
During our good run we won at least a couple of games that could have gone either way. Today and at Accringron we lost games by the odd goal that could also have gone either way. We werent going to go through the season without having a dodgy spell and this might be it. I think it's a time to take a deep breath, look at the table and remember that we are still averaging two points a game and are very well placed. I dont think there is any need for wholesale changes, but a bit of freshening up wouldnt hurt. It looks like being a close promotion chase all.the way in and it's great to be part of it.
Time to hold our nerve and to realise that we're not at the top end of the League by chance; we actually have a very good squad. There will be many more twists and turns throughout the remainder of this season and we just have to hope that the consistency we showed at the end of '21 returns to give us an automatic spot. A big response against Lincoln would do us the world of good.
