Barnsley v The Millers

''We currently sit in 22nd spot and are four points from safety with two games in hand.''

''Barnsley on the other hand, have promotion ambitions on their mind and currently occupy the final playoff spot, with 74 points accrued from 43 games.

The two sides have met on 53 occasions in the past and Barnsley have a slightly better record.''

''The Tykes have 22 wins to their name, compared to Rotherham United's 17 victories. The spoils were shared in 14 previous matches.''

This is another must win game for us. How many times has that been said?  Our best starting 11 will make no difference if the refereeing is poor. Surely that won't happen? Twice in one week?  Best starting 11? By that I mean which of our players will be up for a battle? (In Barnsley they say ' up for a feight').

I'll go 2-1 to us and The Tykes' dreams of playing in the Premier League well and truly scuppered and no celebrating with Barnsley Chops on Saturday night.  For those linguists on here attempting to speak broad Yorkshire, ''no chops for tea on Sat'day neet.''

Nah then al sithee. Boom!

Just hoping that Barnsley have an off day and fail to beat us. Their Head Coach, Valerian Ishmael may have other ideas. Then again he might be in for a bad day at the office. Think we need to sit back and defend for first 20-25 minutes of the game? They'll be pressing high on the pitch and leaving themselves exposed at the back. Surely we have one or two runners who will be able to wait for a long ball as they loiter near the half way line? Barnsley can be beaten. Keep the faith.

Just had a look at the ownership of Barnsley F C. Quite an interesting group of people involved. William Lamar Beane III aka Billy Beane , Chien Lee, James Cryne, Neerav Parekh and Pacific Media Group. Think they bought into Barnsley hoping to reach the Premier League in quick style? Who knows what game they're playing? They've certainly got an even more interesting track record with other clubs and sports.

Just glad I'm an RUFC supporter.

Come On You Reds!!!

I'm sure we will win, and Barnsley will have to sweat along with us for awhile longer. Of course, derby will will win too.

No! We will lose and Derby lose and it I'll be what might have bins again.

Wrong! It I'll be draws all-round and that slightly more content, but ultimately hope/hopeless feeling.

Nah! Be a fresh, fresh feeling.

22 wins to 17? That's about right considering ;23 v 17 is getting a bit heavy...I'm reduced to utter superstitious thinking. The lot of the poor man is either revolution or magic or dust.

Someone intermated , a loss would hasten demise of the stressed PW, and further that it might be pleasing to them. Hmmmm. I'm spellbound. I have some sympathy however . It's hard seeing a loved one suffer.

If its hope we are peddling then I hope we win all 6 ...but , I think we are nailed on for the drop still, and that's OK. I think we have done what we could this season. Hoping that those things happen to keep our club happy and moving forward.

There's a sign on my toilet that says " don't let the things you want make you forget what you have ".

Crooks appeal failed-3 match ban. Shocking predictable decision.

The fact that it's a three match ban is the icing on the cake. A three match suspension for an honest effort to win the ball without any intention of even fouling anyone. Well done Darren Bond!

What is that all about?!!!! It goes from bad to worse. In a world where goalkeepers are over protected that is the most blatant foul you are ever going to see in any era. He has smashed his arm in Viktors head. Unbelievable. I dont know how the players are keeping their composure with all this crap happening around them. Incredible.

Who’d have thought Darren Bond wouldn’t be the worst referee of the week.

Criminal decision.

Some of our fans will have headaches figuring out how to spin this one as Warne’s fault ! It simply defies belief the number of game changing bad decisions that we’ve been on the receiving end of.

I have said for years that football is corrupt, it is time some of the people involved started to whistleblow, it was very clear that the efl don't want teams like Rotherham, Wigan, Wycombe in their premier league (it is that for the EFL) the amount of decisions that have gone against us especially since xmas shows it. There is no way a club as big and important as Derby with Rooney as manager were going to be allowed to be relegated. However that being said we are where we are because of our home form and inability to take any points from key games, at HT we are playing well but Freddie and Smith have both missed great chances, you have to take them. We are currently 2nd to bottom and 1 point off the bottom of the league and that is really not good enough. Get this season over it is not enjoyable at the moment

I can accept losing when we have had a fair crack of the whip, but the number of times we gave been robbed of points by very dodgy decisions makes me feel sick to be honest. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but at the moment I honestly feel like we are being cheated. That is a foul on the keeper one hundred times out of a hundred. You cant jump into the keeper and lead with your arm taking out his arms and hitting him in the head. It's diabolical.

Smiler please don't become one of the people that abuse the use of the phrase conspiracy theorist, it is like people over using nazi or fascist. The fact of life is where there is money there is corruption, humans are easily corrupted and it happens in all walks of life, that is being a conspiracy theorist that is being a realist. We know with one scandel after another that sport is riddled with cheats and corruption, just look at fifa. Anyway that is not the main issue here, let us hope we get back in this game

But, its true too that we aren't good enough. We have surrendered this season all told.

Poor quality in most games with a handful of decent performances.

It's a season where we are below what's needed . Of course we will lose points to ref decisions , but its dwarfed by overall poor quality of our individual players .

I think the anger from games like today may be very upsetting to the chairman and the management alike. Where there's anger all bets are off.  Taming anger when there's there is  the injustice of both the game and the financing is difficult.

No doubt there are dodgy things going on all over the place. Also no doubt that lots of conspiracy theories are total garbage, and that lots of conspiracy theorists are borderline nut jobs or people with an agenda who deliberately pump out misinformation. No offence, but I will use the phrase when and as often as I want. Shocking miss by Ladapo.

There can be no denying how poor we have been in this last 3rd of the season.

We've murdered Barnsley today. The goal against is nothing short of disgraceful from the referee. It isnt the refs fault though that we have missed four or five clear cut chances, which we did. It couldnt be more frustrating.
