Spirits are flagging in both the supporters armchairs and the dressing room, and PW does not currently sound like a man with the bit between his teeth.
With news of the dastardly fowls poaching the once erstwhile and darling of Roving Rovers will it all be just too much for the injury ravished and suspension hit pride of South Yorkshire.
So, Swillsboro, often a happy sizzling day out is now the venue for a bottom of the table slugg-fest
Will it be a first home win for the new tenant of the farm, or a well thought out heist bagging not just 3 points but leaving a cheeky picture at the scene...
Who knows...
Who cares.
Who dares wins , unless you don't, but the fans will thank you all the same.
A useless point ? No thanks.
It's 3 points or bust.
"Throw the kitchen sink at em".
It's good tactics for at least one game.
Come on uuuuuuu redsssssss

I never thought I'd say this we are hoping Richard Wood is fit cause the cupboard is bare: centre backs. S McDonald he's not fit enough or good enough now for this level. Sadlier is not a winger but he must have been played different at Donny he got goals there. I'm still not convinced by Johansson, Blackman either. Need to play a back 4 to get the best out of Giles. No Flo or Hirst, again not up to this level. Warney needs to look at it as if he's picking a side to keep him in a job. Take everything into account.
Take everything into account? You mean like working with them every day in training? The bits that you know nothing about, but still have your own ill-conceived opinion about?
I would like to see our strongest team 2mor, obviously taking into account injuries etc. and I agree - take game to them from start.
Then regardless of 2mor's result.. rest AS MANY OF 1ST TEAM AS POSSIBLE on Saturday, to give the likes of Smith/Crooks/Barlaser/Wiles a rest.
Then play strongest team possible for next two games after that.
Also - starting with players like Hirst/Ladapo/Clarke/Sadlier on Saturday - gives them a chance to claim a place in the next starting line-up instead of constantly thinking they are not really wanted unless we have tired players after 60 mins or so...
Warney MUST learn to target games we need to win and not Knacker out the same palyers all the time...
We must win this game and we must play our strongest side which i think, assuming Wood is fit ,would be Johansson,Olosunde,A MacDonald,Wood,Harding,S MacDonald,Wing,Barlaser,Wiles,Crooks,Smith. Let Wing man mark Bannan, stop Reach getting a shot away and we can beat this poor opposition. As others have said our bench is our weakness. Freddie's first touch is appalling and he plays for himself, Hirst has tortoise reactions and Sadlier looks and plays like a fairy. Wednesday are near bottom because they are rubbish and even our depleted team should beat them. If not I fear the worst. If we lose I think the chairman will make a desperate change.
Definitely wouldn't play S McDonald he's gone, was never in the game last Saturday. Loan signings again along with Blackman Flo Hirst & now Wing Giles not worked out. Clarke could be a better option wide left. I'd play 4-5-1 tomorrow night.
I totally agree with splinter this game is a must-win. You have certain games in season whether it is a promotion or avoiding relegation say if you have any chance of achieving that aim. Is the manager up to it do the players want it?.

In regards crookes im inot his biggest fan. He has been dire this aeason . He went on that small run of goals and assist and even i rhought yes we have found a productive partnership
Now nothing garbage
Smith needs to be in the box recieving crosses
Not crossing
I agree this weekend play the subs as a starting 11
Crooks has been that dire that he got the championship player of the month in January 2021. Very few millers have won a championship player of the month. You couldn't make these fans up. i told you Hillsborough was an original wise man.
Re. Tonight's game. I feel the best we can hope for is to set up to keep it tight. They have not been a free scoring team but did get two in the first 45 mins on Saturday. I would take a draw of any kind with the side we are able to field.
We are all millers with opinions in the end and those who are lucky enough to be in a relationship know what living with a constant 2nd often different opinion is like. So reading varying ones on a site like this should be easier. LOL
I see PW is hinting at a more attacking mindset tonight because be cannot prepare for a new Sheffield Wednesday under Darren Moore tutelage.
He says it will be like the first game of the season...at least it sounds refreshing.
Come on millers ...4 **** sake ( that's my desperation shout while int family stand with the '****s sake ' uttered under my breath while sitting back down...got told off a few times and learnt my lesson.
Only way we can play more attacking is to play a left back & Giles as a left winger. Sadlier playing behind lone forward. I know he won't play but I'd always have Vickers in front of two keepers we've seen so far this season. 4-5-1 Vickers; Harding A McDonald Wood Wiles; Olosunde Barlaser Crooks Sadlier Giles; Ladapo
I'm probably taking PW too literally, but he seemed to only be thinking about longer range shots and committing more to free kicks. Specifically, I got the impression he meant more assertive balls into the box and probably a more attacking set up.
I think most fans now want to see a full 90 minutes of attacking and less fearful football.
I can't play a keeper I haven't seen in a game and Victor has been very good and seems to me to be improving . His command of the box is really improving even though he doesn't have the natural ability to catch the high balls.
We'll be able to see what sort of game it is within the first 10 minutes. If we stand off them we'll lose, we'll concede, fear will set in & Gillingham here we come. If ever we needed a performance tonight is it.
