Tonight's Games

Wigan stuffed at home, again, 0-5 to Hull. Both Tilt and Proctor were in Wigan starting line up.

Norwich, Millwall and Brentford doing just what the doctor ordered and taking all the points of relegation rivals Coventry, Birmingham and QPR respectively at the Half Time stage. Come on N,M & B!

Good chance for us to put some pressure on our rivals with a good performance at Bournemouth tonight.

Good win for QPR, but good for us defeats for Forest, Cov and Brum. Free hit at Bournemouth.

there are 4 teams that can finish below us in my view, Coventry, Wycombe, Birmingham and Pigs. QPR, Derby and Forest all have too much in terms of quality players and they have played very close to the edge of the financial fair play rules. We could bring in Huddersfield if you look at current form. We need 12 points against those 4 teams that would be 41 points and that gives us a real chance of getting towards the 50 point mark.

I think I'm with you on those teams, Derby.  Personally, I think Wednesday will just about be alright. I suspect Wycombe are doomed although they will become dangerous to play against once they have nothing to lose.  Birmingham and Huddersfield are in real trouble, and the thing about them is that they were probably hopeful of better things whereas us and Coventry were probably geared up for this battle.  I think our chances of stopping up are about 60/40 in our favour, but it might go right down to the wire.

After a realistic look at Saturday's fixtures, we might expect to be in the bottom 3. Although not ideal, it wouldn't be a disaster.

Wednesday are at home to Birmingham and should beat them but a draw would be perfect.

Coventry host Brentford and Huddersfield entertain Swansea - both should be away victories.

Millwall are at home to Wycombe - Millwall are on a strong run of victories.

If we can pick anything up at Norwich, that would be a real bonus. If not, we need to be picking up points in the following games to get us out of the danger zone.

Important we don't get too down if its another defeat on Saturday.

From what we've seen from January onwards, performance wise we have more than enough about us to stop up. Bournemouth and Norwich are and were always going to be a bit of a free hit.

As shown at Bournemouth we haven't got much off the bench to bring on. Sadlier could bring on at Norwich. Give Olosunde & Smith time out Giles & Ladapo in their places. A McDonald for Wood. Don't think S McDonald is up to starting so midfield will be the same. We've got to try to be competitive.

No mention of the goalkeeper situation since the Bournemouth game? You were all over it like a rash three days ago.

Johansson he's got the keepers shirt after Wednesday. Up to him to keep it.

He is changing his mind with performances aka he was wrong with his initial hasty judgment.

So there's no actual appreciation of or praise for Johansson, just gwru's 'Sword of Damacles' hanging over his head should he fail in future. You really are a very strange supporter!

You are right Glenn.  Once he has decided someone is useless, he can not bring himself to actually praise them. The best they get is 'see how they do in the next game'. effectively biding time until they make a mistake and then he piles in and says told you so. He has been doing it with the manager for four years.  Not a word of praise in all that time.  Just grudging acknowledgment if we win (usually tempered by an observation that we were lucky or that the opposition was crap) and a new bar set.  It really is very, very odd.

If Warney wants to keep us up no more trying to keep players happy. Only players good enough from now on. No Clarke Flo Hirst.

That is not an answer to the point being made.  In fact it reinforces the point.

GWRU is our resident armchair critic, he only sees things in shades of black.

What does this mean?! Warne has to use the players at his disposal. He's not trying to keep players happy, he's trying to keep Rotherham supporters and the owners happy by giving us the best chance of survival. This means looking at the congested fixture list, rotating players to maintain energy levels whilst giving us best chance of getting something from games. It's a complex process and one that deserves much more than a glib 'trying to keep players happy' jibe. Wake up, grow up and wise up!

That would be Flo and Clarke who at different times Gwru has said have 'got something' and Hirst who he touted as the answer to our goalscoring prayers. The man (Gwru) has not got a clue. He is playing fantasy football in his strange mind.

Clarke Flo Hirst what they shown? Any of them start a game it's a weak link. I don't want to see us not competitive in a game. I'm not expecting nothing from today's game but at least don't get embarrassed. I know we've got to rotate the side but only with players good enough.

You wanted us to sign Hirst. After the Swansea away game you said you had seen something in Clarke. After the Preston home game you said you had seen something in Flo. Are you saying you were wrong about all three?
