Cardiff were on a terrible run with five straight championship defeats from 19th Dec to 20th Jan. They also lost in the cup. This resulted in Neil Harris getting the sack after the Q.P.R defeat and 'Big Mick' getting the managers job on 22nd Jan. Since then Cardiff have drawn with Millwall and Barnsley and beat Bristol City on Saturday. Millers fans know only too well the strengths of Moore and Vaulks and with others around them like Liverpool Loanee, Ojo and a strong midfield player in Ralls the task will be difficult. For me Ojo is a massive under achiever. He has represented England at under 16 and all other ages through to under 21. He never broke into the Liverpool squad and has been loaned out all over the place, including Rangers, Wolves, Fulham and abroad. He is talented and will give our left wing/full back something to think about. Junior Hoillett didn't play at Bristol which is a surprise as i have always rated him.

No doubt Cardiff will come with more confidence than a month ago and 'Big Mick' will make sure they match our physicality. This is a game we can win imo and apart from saying i would like to see Smith and Crooks in the starting eleven have no other ideas. I would love to have seen Lindsay fit and in the face of Vaulks who can blow a fuse as withessed at Bramall Lane. Looking forward to this very different challenge.

Unless the pitch has been totally covered since Saturday morning i can't see the match being on. My lawn is rock hard. No doubt Cardiff will be flying up tomorrow so an early decision will have to be made.

We know all about the threat that big Kieffer poses and I expect they use Vaulks's long throw - why wouldn't they? I worry a bit about Johansson dealing with long throws and set pieces. Cardiff will have done their homework and will have seen the corner at Preston that nearly sailed straight in and also the Evans goal. If I was McCarthy I would be telling them to load the six yard box and land everything on top of him. I don't doubt the lad's bravery but he just isn't the biggest.

If Johansson plays he will need to come and punch well. If Blackman is available, I would be inclined to play him which isn't a sleight on Johansson at all. Just a case of horses for courses. I won't comment on Vickers. I haven't seen enough of him. If he is picked fair enough but I am not going to ask for the inclusion of a player I have hardly seen. That would be daft.

I think Smith and Crooks are certs to start this one.

This is a game that both sides will think they can win, so hopefully that will make for an open and entertaining match.

I think our fans have described this contest well. Cardiff will be quite the test. They will probably overload the midfield outnumbering us . It must be tempting for PW to go 1 upfront. Cardiff have played with just Moore up front, but also like him in a 3. His goal scoring fir Cardiff looks the best of his career and that's some threat.

As others have Also said , johansson, if picked will need lots of protection on both wings. However , we know Moore is also very effective when the ball is played right down the throat to him.

I will take a point now. I will be ****-a-hoop with 3!

well that referee has decided that we are having nothing tonight, 2 clear penalties as well as pulling up for nothing fouls as soon as we get near goal. We are playing well but no luck so far, these are the games we need to get something from as there are a lot harder games to come

By far the better side in the first half. Cardiff fortunate to be ahead.

I agree. Much the better side. If we were a bit fortunate on Saturday it has evened up tonight. One stonewall penalty and another good shout. They wont believe they are one up at half time. Not really any complaints about out lads because we have been very good.

I genuinely think if we have a crowd tonight - at least one of those 3 pens get given....

Did not deserve that result... hard luck lads - move on to next game...

Very unfortunate tonight. The referee was very, very poor. We weren't going to get anything from him. Some of his decisions were baffling. We were the better side but it wasnt our night. I was going to ask if anybody knew why Will Vaulks wasnt playing, but I see he came on for the last minute to play in goal.
