Derby in big trouble regarding finances and hit with COVID like we were last month so with that in mind you'd hope we have an edge on them at least in preparation.

Huge game where we need three points. Got to be as positive as we were against Everton and keep the in game changes to a minimum.

They've just confirmed Rooney as permanent manager and he's retired from playing with immediate effect.

You have to think that this game is a big opportunity for us. I would like us to get on the front foot early - it feels that they might be vulnerable and if we can score first you have to wonder how well they would deal with it. You also have to wonder whether Derby might be going down however they do on the field. Their financial problems look very similar to those at S6. I have some history with Derby and like them as a club. It is a shame to see them struggling, but that isn't really our concern. Get at them.

I presume Smiler believes Derby are vulnerable because the first eleven haven't played since Jan 1st and they have only just started back training after a covid outbreak.

Derby had been one of the in form teams in December, beating Millwall, Birmingham and Swansea. They also drew three. So their last eight league games have seen them win 3 draw 3 and lose 2. They lost to Wednesday on Jan 1st. In those eight games they have only let in three goals. Add to the mix Rooney getting the managers job for two and a half years and i think they might be in a confident mood tomorrow.

Miller and Vassell have left us, and Josefzoon cannot feature tomorrow . In our last game we played Vickers as a sub, but left out Thompson. That to me indicates Thompson will be gone if we can find a club interested in him. There is a possibility that Robertson and S.McDonald might be on the bench for the Derby game and make up the subs instead of using the third goalie.

This is a big game tomorrow (so called six pointer) and i think it is very important that we do not lose. A draw imo would be a good result.I agree we have to get on the front foot early and more importantly cut out the poor defensive mistakes. I would take a 0-0 now.

I agree with TH serious lack of planning here. One striker we can trust to do a job for us, Smith. Question marks against keepers. No left full/wing back still. Wood coping with Derby's speedy forwards. I don't like our chances at all there. Hope I'm wrong!

Whiston, you are right that they had some good form in December. I am suggesting they might be vulnerable because of their recent covid outbreak, possible lack of training, and also the fact that their players arent being paid with rumours of a fire sale. That cant be good for morale. I agree that a draw wouldnt be the end of the world, but it might not be the worst time to be playing them.

You don't hope that you are wrong. It's your futile attempt at proving that you are the Millers number one supporter. You want the Millers to fail, so that you can bask in the glory that you know more than 'Warney'

Think about it. I'm right more than I'm wrong.

Playing as well as we can. Harding crossing well from the left. Do we need 4 central midfielders? I'd take Crooks off Hirst on in his place. Blackman at least he's got the height don't want to jinx him but 1st half did nothing wrong.

Much needed win. Couldn't fault any of them. Blackman keep that up. Lindsay deserved that. Just need a couple of players in to give us more chance of championship football next season. Left full/wing back & striker good enough, been playing up to speed.

Same old. Good possession, well organised, but utter garbage where is matters to the point where you have to question whether these players do the simplest of attacking play training right down to body shape, shot selection, part of foot etc that we teach 10 year olds!

Totally deserved that today but should have been way more comfortable, totally caught Derby on the hop like we were against Barnsley (these things even out right?).

I still worry where the goals are going to come from to stay in this league, the 4 we have no matter what pairing simply do not have the ability. I wont accept its 'championship defenders' because these guys are getting chances (or in some cases they don't gamble which suggests they aren't forward thinking players).

Massive 3 points though against a horrible horrible club with massivitus worse than Wednesday

I thought we were brilliant today, played the game very smart, closed down their wide players most of the time, Wood goal was onside and their commentators agreed also Beleik should have been sent off their commentators also thought that as well, semsible sub from Warne today instead of massive changes. Millwall are dropping down the league, we just need to strengthen the squad and keep playing like that and we have a chance, just look how Forest have climbed up

We thoroughly deserved the win. We can say it now because it doesnt sound like sour grapes - we were done with Wood's goal and the decision not to show a second yellow to their centre back for a blatant professional foul was nothing short of scandalous. Great to see Robertson back on the pitch for us. Well done the Millers.

Rooney picked the wrong team, Rooney put the wrong subs on, Rooney’s game management was awful. No other way to explain Derby losing this six pointer. Has he learned nothing from all his time in the game ? 😀

Great result today playing against 12 men never offside woodys goal should have been down to 10 men. My friend player Lindsey came up with the goods special mention for Harding who was terrific today. Rooney will be tearing his hair out after that loss.

Well I think that probably explains why the moderating on here is also 'utter garbage'

Fantastic result a today and fully deserved.

My internet went down just before kick off so missed this one! Any win in this division is great, any away win is superb. So well done to all concerned and PW can rest easy until Tuesday night before someone calls for his head again!

I think the last time we won at Derby was in the 1960's, so that result today was some performance.

The pitch looked poor and the game was not great in quality, but as usual our lads battled for us and got the result we deserved. We pressed high well, and put their back four under pressure. Lindsay put himself about and after missing a sitter was there to get the ball in the net from a great cross from Ihiekwe i believe. Blackman did nothing wrong and made a couple of good saves and also caught well on the rare occasions he had to.

We still lack that mobile striker who has an eye for goal and is championship class but so do all the teams around us. We have players coming back from injury to replace the tired legs, which there are forced to be. I thought a draw was the best we would get today so i was happy to be proved wrong. Great effort by everybody today.
