You’ve probably seen more or him but what’s the difference between spending good money on him and not giving Josh Kayode a chance? Both look to have similar goal scoring records so far this season.
Even with Wigan in financial trouble they will still want a hefty fee id imagine especially with some of the clubs rumoured to be after him and I cant see us paying money for someone like him.
Tbh as I said on another thread don't expect anyone to come in.
Way I'd be looking at this players like Pickering, Bishop or Joseph are good investments can get a profitable return on them not like loans or journeymen.
Barnsley expecting to sign him this week. Another one they've beaten us to. Rumoured to be only £400k as well !!
They haven't really beaten us to him if we never wanted him anyway. I think the fact he was 'linked' with Premier League teams and now ends up looking like he's only going to Barnsley suggests his agent was just touting him around.
I think paying 400k for a lad who has only played 12 League One games looks way too big a risk for a club like us and I'm personally glad we're not taking it.

Sorry to revive this post ! Swansea signed Joseph for only £500k but he can't get a game under the new manager (big mate of Warne). Finished last season injured and may have not got his form back but from what i've seen of him would be ideal alongside Smith. Surely worth a loan request at least.
