In our present predicament we need to be really quick off the mark with new signings. Think two questions will be answered. Firstly how competent is Rob Scott and his team (i have my doubts) and secondly whether and to what extent the chairman is prepared to speculate to keep us up. Other than the rumoured double swoop on Ross County for Ross Stewart and Josh Reid (seems to have dried up) there are very few whispers. I've mentioned Wigan's Kyle Joseph previously but what suggestions does anyone else have ?
Got the Advertiser today excuses already regarding quick recruitment Warne basically blaming COVID restricting any business being done certainly early doors 3 targets we’ve spoken to preliminary were not featuring for their championship clubs and now are because of the 5 sub rule
All sounds very familiar I appreciate it’s going to be hard getting anyone in but not doing anything isn’t an option remember 2 years ago we didn’t nothing apart from Crooks and went down also has ruled out Kayode coming back and featuring considering a loan to a league 1 club
Slipping to second bottom will also hamper our chances.
We are now behind the likes of Sheffield Wednesday who had minus points and having the worst season in many years, will be a real struggle to attract any players.

Don’t be shocked if the only real business we do is sending Hirst back and bringing Josh Kayode back.
Hindsight is always great but when you look in detail at the squad it’s baffling how we chose to have three goalkeepers on the books, three or four options at right back but zero left back cover. Surely those wages would have been a big help to bolster other areas of a small squad?
history repeats itself and we will do the same as two years ago. Warne is a man of excuses blaming Covid how pathetic is that. The world is bigger than the UK we have people employed whose only job is recruitment, no excuses for failure this time. If we do not have the funds available then be honest ad say so, most fans would appreciate the honesty rather than the crappy excuses why they fail to do the job they are paid to do.
If we sign anybody I will be very surprised. Yes I know that Tony is probably keeping the club afloat at moment but the question I ask what division does he want the club to be in when fans are back in the ground.
Buying new players doesn't guarantee success but warnes bizarre humanist approach to buying players aka players he is able to manage. No prima Donna s.allowed. hampers recruitment.
We need a blood and guts captain to replace woody
A left back and a striker to replace the warne secret weapon aka vassell
We weren't going to sign anyone for tomorrow. Sounds like we have A McDonald & Crooks back for Cardiff game. If either Flo or Vassell start tomorrow I'll know Warney he's lost it. I'm still not happy with either keeper we've started with this season. With Vaulks launching long throws keeper he's going to be under pressure. If we are going to play 2 up front will have to play with wing backs Olosunde on the right, Wiles on the left. I'm not sure Warney will send all his loans back, Blackman most likely of the 3 to be sent back. Think our manager thinks if we send players back those clubs won't loan us any more players out. Hope we have movement on the transfer front when championship resumes in 2 weeks time at Derby. We all know we need a left wing/full back. Forward next & midfielder like Vaulks.
Someone on Twitter said 8 years ago today we beat Rochdale 1-0 in the last minute. Evans announced after the match we are signing Frecks on a permanent signing. Now that is what I call a proper January transfer window deal.
Cooper back from his loan says he's been outstanding. He's 21 not a kid. Get him starting at Everton. Tilt back also I'm not sure about him, heard it said he wants to go back to North west area.

Warney's on about next summer when Kayode will be back here. Why? Apart from Smith I can't see much we've got up front. Same with Cooper doubt he'll get a chance this season. Me don't understand!
Let me see if i can put it into engineering terms (something you are an expert at i presume Gwru) and try and show you what Smiler and others are saying re Kayode and Cooper.
You are an engineering firm that produces goods. You have an industrial fair coming up where you can showcase your wares. You have an experienced craftsman who although is no world beater is steady at what he/she does as they have been doing it for many years. You also employ an apprentice. Now do you ask the craftsman of twenty years to produce the goods at the fair or do you ask the apprentice who has no experience of doing the job but is keen to learn. I will leave you to tell me the answer Gwru.
At the moment in the opinion of the manager we have forwards who are better players than Josh Kayode. He may have the potential to be better than some or all of them, but at the moment he isn't. You might want to 'see what he can do' but the management team have already seen what he can do. They will be watching every game he plays, either live or via recordings.
The thing is, he doesn't need to be playing with us to keep improving. We can loan him out to play at the level we think he needs to be or is ready to be playing at. We can be selective where we place him so that he is in safe hands, and if it isn't working we can recall him.
It is all good.
Your failure to understand is because of the delusion that you know better than the management team and is based on your one sighting in a reserve team game versus their very many hours spent watching him in training and in meaningful matches. No wonder you are confused.
