New striker options

We desperately need one so who could it be and who should we go for? Ross Stewart Ross County. According to the Scots press he is just hitting top form after being played out of position he is now back in his preffered central role. Out of contract next summer can sign s pre contract with us on 1st Jan. We know he is on the list, silly fee demands blocked a deal in the summer. Chances quite high. Joe Pigott Wimbledon. In form and scoring, has come through late from non league a route Warne likes as it shows hunger. Out of contract in the summer, fits the bill can play in a number of systems and scores goals. Wimbledon desperate for cash, can we do a deal will there be competition. Chances If we move quick with a good offer then we have s chance, dilly dally with low offers no chance. Ched Evans Free agent. Don't laugh may be worth a contract to the end of the season last chance but knows where the net is. Chances low Billy Sharp The Blunts. May be worth a loan enquiry feel he will stick around whilst the ship sinks. Chances non existent Some unheard Prem league youngster Various On loan a gamble Chances medium Some unheard Champ youngster Various On loan a gamble Chances high Anyway another interesting window lets see if we can get that elusive striker in

Jorge Grant Lincoln City A number 10 rather than an out and out striker, but knows where the net his and creates goals. Out of contract in the summer so an option. Chances high Lincoln need the money

Kevin Nisbet Hibernian Only signed in the summer from Dunfermiline where he scored 25 in 28 the previous season The season before that he was at Raith and scored 29 in 34 This season he has 9 in 16 for Hibs. Proper centre forward only 23. Chances fee may be too high Christian Doidge Hibernian We know Warne likes him 17 in 45 games for Hibs never really settled up there contract up in summer Chances modest fee will get him

Keep up I said Ross Stewart last window! Sport yesterday made me forget about football. Paisley Park at Ascot. Jack Lisowski beating Selby last night. Be some final today him & Judd Trump two naturally gifted players.

'Hensons' puts up three really good posts about a position where we really need to get somebody in. Full of facts about strikers who might meet our criteria. You Gwru, then put up a really poor response imo by saying keep up. Stewart was just one striker he mentioned, what about the others. You and your brother have often said, quire rightly imo, that this is a football site. You then talk of horse racing and snooker. We really need to change this point scoring way of life on here in the new year.

I am not sure i can add to your observations 'Hensons' re strikers. Really enjoyed your views on possible options open for us.

Says this is Football/Sports/Roth U related. Wait till January: new striker. I'm hoping King George at Kempton isn't at risk with tier 4 coming in London way.

I've been told by a reliable source who regularly goes out on the lash with Ronnie, Brecks, Warne, Barker and Tony Stewart that a deal was in place for a young quick prolific striker who was ready to sign, until TS realised that the club wouldn't be getting grus £10 from iFollow this week, and the deal fell through

Thanks Whiston for the comments, tried to be realistic and look what we can afford. Key for me is being able to send Hirst and Blackman back we need to free up both cash in the budget and space in the 25 man squad

Imo i dont think hirst has been given enough game time due to warne love in with vassell Start him for 3 games at least. The kids got talent but warne prefer the vassell the player with a secret in him.

I totally agree about Hirst. He needs game time to develop, but i do not see him (which i have not seen a lot of) as someone who is a fit for us. Blackman is another matter. If we were to send him back and not replace him, then an injury to one of the other two goalkeepers would leave us exposed. I think we might try and move Clarke, Thompson and possibly Vassell on. Bring back Kayode and Tilt and make at least one signing (permanent) and a loan signing. That would give us the four in and four out Warne has said he is hoping for.

I am not sure we can afford to give Hirst 3 games based on what we have seen so far. The kid has stagnated over the last 2 years he needs to be playing every week. Think the decision will be taken out of our hands Leicester can not be happy with the game time he is getting at the moment

Whiston ; don’t forget we need to make space in the 25 for Ogbene also, assuming he will play again this season.

We need oven ready players so all loans Blackman Flo Hirst return back to their parent clubs. Thompson Clarke Vassell move on. Leave Tilt out on loan. Kayode & Cooper bring them back. Left back wide player forward good enough required. If Warney can't stop playing happy families get a manager in who can.

Wash, rinse, repeat. Wash, rinse, repeat. You have no idea what life is like under Paul Warne. Stop pretending that you do. But then, once you get an idea in your head....

Oven ready players is what is needed. Cooper hasn't played in an EFL league game but is ready to go. However, Tilt has played over 100 league games. I think there might be a case for Kayode but Cooper has to stay where he is imo.

I would have thought Top Cat the self appointed no1 football expert on this site should know the millers get around £8 from ifollow. Do you go on it or are you one of those pirates I keep getting messages about.
