They're on a good run at the moment - four games without defeat with draws against Norwich, Birmingham and Derby and a victory against Cardiff. Yet again, there are no easy games in this league.
I'd like to see us go for a win today. Same team as the Brentford match but with Ikky in for Wood and Barlaser in for Wiles.
As Glenn has said Coventry are in a good run of form. Undefeated in last four games and only conceding two goals in them. I think Robins is a really good manager and he is working hard on making Coventry hard to beat. They will be well organised and play with one up front. This is all the more commendable as their top striker Godden has been missing since the Forest defeat on 4th Nov. Godden has played 36 league games for Coventry scoring 18 times. I think they will play in a 4.2.3.1 formation , with possibly Walker as the lone striker.
We will probably go with the 3.5.2. formation and similar to the Brentford game with Ihiekwe back in for Wood. I expect a close game and wouldn't be surprised to see a 0-0 draw. I agree with the poster who said this is a must not lose game and also with the one who said we have to pick our battles. This is one of those big battles.
Not fussed about Wood starting no Olosunde. Also no Barlaser?
Richard Wood did nothing wrong the other night, he wasn't at fault for the goal despite what you say, so there is no reason he shouldn't keep his place.
Olosunde went off injured against Bournemouth, only just got fit enough to play against Brentford, and then was taken off because he was clearly knackered. Hardly a shock he isn't starting today.
And yes, no Barlaser, that's what it says doesn't it?
Earlier this year, Coventry away was billed as the toughest game of the season. Now it’s in the group of games we’d hope to get something out of. Just shows what a demanding league this is.
absolute garbage both goals Woods fault, poor marking of the first and why he left his man for the 2nd when macdonald had the man, this has been very very bad, cant blame big club and huge budgets for this game, long way to go hopefully we can keep it at 2 for a bit and then get one back before half-time
two teams around us that we have to battle and get a point from and we play terrible first half and are lucky to only be two down at HT, Crooks and Wood off at half time to try and change it somehow
Combination of Wood and MacDonald for both goals. MacDonald just doesnt go with the runner for the first and they compete for the same ball for the second. You make your plans and then schoolboy errors from experienced defenders mean you are two down after ten minutes and its an uphill battle. Going forward we dont look a threat from open play. Very disappointing.
we give so many fouls away, mainly because we are so slow. Their two strikers are far stronger and faster than our forwards. Mark Robins is a good manager as well saved us from going out of the league
to be honest we will be bottom by 1st January at this rate, we won't get anywhere near 40 points that we got last time, this is a very very poor team, all Warne and Barker players as well they are very much out of their depth
