Warne IMO has to got for a more attacking formation QPR is just above us on 14 pts and a worse goal difference.
While I admire that Warne is backing Blackman, doesn't he keep saying players have to earn their place in starting 11, I'm sorry but to me Blackman should be on the bench, I work with a blade who also supports the millers, and he said Blackman hasn't progressed since he was with them. WE have two other goalies so send him back and use that money on strengthening the squad.
Another point that warne annoys me. he keeps saying he likes wingers , well play two wingers then
drop your mate crookes and play wiles centrally
my team woulld be
johanneson
ikky wood macdonald
harding josefoon wiles barlaser clarke
hirst ladapo
3 5 2
with miller vassell smith mattock lindsey blackman olosonde crookes on the bench he can change the formation with the 5 subs
Is it in Blackman's contract we've got to play him? Can't see no other reason why he keeps his place. Johansson question marks about him. Is Mattock fit if he is I'm going Vickers; Harding Ihiekwe A McDonald Mattock; Wiles Lindsay Barlaser Clarke; Smith Ladapo.
It sounds like Ladapo, wood and Mattock could all be fit for tonight. I expect another change in personnel. Clarke definitely did ok when he came on but i'm afraid one swallow doesn't make a summer and i would have him on the bench for if Mattock cannot make the full game. A McDonald has yet to be in a winning team but Wood has featured in two winning games. With all that in mind i would go with a 4.4.1.1 formation.
Blackman
Harding Ihiekwe Wood Mattock
Josefzoon Lindsay Barlaser Miller
Wiles
Ladapo
This is an attacking side with two wide men and Wiles in an advanced position. We would need to press high. This is also the line up we used against Wednesday. Lindsay could inter change with wiles as the furthest forward central midfielder like he did in the Wednesday game.
Just do not see where the goals are coming from. Smith and Vassell have played 82 championship games between them and only hit the back of the net 8 times (all by Smith). 0-0 draw anyone!!
I don't think we've seen Smith and Vassell together this season? Because none of our forwards have delivered so far, I'm not against Warney trying out new combinations.
I'd argue that Clarke and Vassell both deserve their starts. Big chance for them both and up to them to make the most of it. Also a chance for Ben Wiles in his favoured position. He was brilliant when we won there two seasons ago. Let's hope for more of the same. Those who wanted a more attacking line up cant really quibble. Two genuine wide players, one out and out striker with another supporting and two forward thinking central midfielders. Looking forward to it. UTM.
Got to hold your hands up they are too good for us. One of my boys Warney wouldn't play Dom Ball showing up well for them. Harding our standout player. Bring on who he wants won't make any difference. We haven't got a fit winger good enough at the club.

we were very lucky to get level (well done Smith) but every time they go forward they look like they will score, Mattock is being destroyed by that lad who scored the 2nd goal. We are lucky to be two behind worst performance this season to concede two in injury time shows no discipline again no game management, every corner they have they make something of it, absolute rubbish, Lindsay has been our best midfielder all season and gets dropped they are running through our midfield because Vassell doesn't drop back like Crooks would. The bottom line is they have scored 3, hit the post twice and missed two sitters, it could be 6 or 7 by half-time. I know smiler you keep saying they are good coaches, but there is no evidence on the pitch on match days to support that statement.
Mattock is five yards slower than their right winger. They are getting at our back four way too easily because we are light in midfield, and they have the quality to do damage when they get into those positions. They are much better than us but we have made it too easy for them. Poor night so far.
positives are the 2nd half we made more of it and two strikers scored, Smith did better.
negatives. Warne cannot pick his nose never mind a football team. Last two games we have got destroyed in the first half and he has had to make major changes at half-time, that shows the starting 11 was WRONG!!
Barlassar needs a more defensive midfielder along side him and without one he is two light weight, he is a play maker not a tackler. As soon as Lindsay came on and Wiles went wide left we looked a lot more solid, anyone with half a brain knows Wiles and Barlassar together has no bite. Vassell complete and total waste of space, he achieves nothing except for raising my blood pressure. All we are is a long ball team, for all those wingers he has bought in the end our coaching manual consists of one line, belt it forward as quickly as possible. To be honest at the moment this team looks worse than two years ago and Warne is heading to his 3rd relegation in 5 seasons,
At least two transfer windows have done for us. Don't trust two keepers we've seen so far this season & as I've said no wingers fit good enough. TS he's stuck with Warney cause he'll work to his budget were Evans wanted a side good enough which costs. Think Warney's took us as far as he can. Depends if TS wants us in the championship next season. If he does time for a change of manager.
Got to drop Mattock and the agricultural "hoof it" Angus. Jones and Wood will be back on Saturday i'd expect but neither are Championship standard. We need strengthening for both positions in January and not wait for sicknote Robertson to return and play 2 games. Would love to shadow Scott and see how his recruitment system works(or doesn't work). He seems restricted to a 100 mile radius of Rotherham ! Searching the continent is pure fantasy i would suspect.
