Said to be starting for England tonight. Only reason I'll be watching tonight, not much excitement in that side otherwise.

Presumably Southgate doesnt know as much as you either, gwru? I imagine he picks his mates and is afraid of upsetting players etc. Same rubbish, different target.

No danger of excitement with Southgate. Give me Stevie with his trousers falling down anyday!

The amount of product on Grealish's hair, and his acting when anyone goes near him. Hollywood, not NYS.

Theres no fight in a Southgate team. Worst Ireland team I've seen for a long time. Right footed forward on the left will never work. Southgate scared of upsetting his mates. All this good human being stuff isnt my cup of (green) tea. I'll judge them after the next match. Etc. (Just saving him the trouble of saying it all himself).

This must be one of the youngest England sides in years. It isnt our strongest eleven but it's still a very good eleven. There is a lot of class there. We just don''t defend as well as we attack and against better teams like Belgium it might cost us.

Grealish was pulling the strings. International friendly's get into the 2nd half time for me to turn it off. I'm of the belief you don't give caps away.

The Irish were quite poor. I still think it is quite exciting to see what was largely our second string and then by the end of the game after substitutions largely our third string side with so many young and talented players in them. The youngsters who won world cups at age group not long ago are starting to force their way into the reckoning. Add them to the best of the existing talent, and things look quite promising.

See if Southgate plays him against Belgium he is running riot against teams in the prem league. They have to put two players on him fouled all of the time free kicks and bookings he gets. Build team around him villa are doing it. The best player I have seen at the NYS came away thinking wish we had him only a dream.

Grealish dives around a lot and I dont find him even a little bit likeable, but there is no doubt he is a real talent.

Thought he was the only plus point in a poor showing last night.

Anybody wanting Roth U to play with wing backs look at England who've got the pick of English players but it doesn't work. What's Mason Mount bring to the side? Haven't we got nobody better than Dier at Centre back?
