NEW SWFC MANAGER?

Only because we have no RUFC football to talk about at the moment, I thought we could debate the potential candidates for the S6 manager role. Whilst Tony Pulis is hot favourite, I wonder if a man of his stature would come in unless he was promised a healthy transfer budget - something which I don't think Chansiri can offer him?

Wagner is second favourite. He was sacked by Schalke after recording a club record run of 16 games without a win - he would definitely be my choice to come in!

Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if the Cowley brothers made an appearance. They did well with Lincoln on limited funds and rescued Huddersfield who were in terminal decline last season. They could be the bargain basement option that a club like SWFC needs to help them avoid the drop with very limited funds?

Thoughts?

I don’t really like commenting about the Piggies Cook has been mentioned he’d be a good appointment (good from Owls point of view) Pulis not going down well with Piggy fans I’ve heard football is agricultural other names mentioned aren’t very inspiring which for a so called massive club is quite amusing

Personally I think Cook ticks all the boxes. He is combative, experienced , available, won't cost the earth and did a good job against all the odds with Wigan in the same division. The only downside for them is that they might think he isnt Big Name enough for their massive club.

Sounds like Pulis has got it on absolutely crazy wages.

Pulis would be a very typical Wednesday appointment. Relatively big name, throwing some money at their problem and quite short term thinking. Similar to our punt on Warnock, although a big chunk of that gamble was performance related. If it is to be Pulis he might well keep them up. To be honest, any manager worth their salt should keep them up. They have the players to do it.
