Peterborough's 'Revenge' Season

Hardly what Barry Fry had in mind - 2-0 away to Accrington. Hardly revenge - more like capitulation or same old story!

Spot on Glenn.... I reckon most Lg1 clubs will not forget their poisonous, self centered, view of other clubs and lack of decency in the way they conducted themselves in covid close season.

..and the reports their local reporter got away with in the Peterborough press was nothing short of scandal...

I wish them nothing but loss in a football sense....

Second best result of the day. Peterborough may well still go up (they are cash rich compared to most of the teams in that division), but I sincerely hope not. The problem with making outlandish predictions is that you put yourself under pressure and end up looking a total *** if you don' then deliver. You have to admire what Accrington continue to achieve on a shoestring.

Good one THMiller. Peterborough handled the season end shockingly badly and we copped plenty of abuse from them. There is something poetic about them losing at Stanley after MacAnthony promised a vengeance tour. Somebody points that out, and the bloke who asked people to lighten up takes umbridge. You are a one!

It does not matter we got promoted be the bigger man they are perfectly entitled to have their moan. I suppose I am going to get the usual long tirade of abuse I would not bother. I have some tins nicely cooling down in the fridge Mr Townsend and his mates on spoiify rock on.

Dont mind them moaning but they took it too far and showed very little class. You reap what you sow. Enjoy your spoiify.

Some of PUFC's Chairman's comments and a journalist called Alan Swann during lockdown were Waaaaaaay beyond reasonable, not just about us, but they had a go at Wycombe and other 'smaller' clubs as they see them.

Of course all clubs tried to argue their case for or against PPG etc, but it's one thing being assertive and another showing disrespect and poisoned aggression...

They have made many enemies in a football sense and I reckon every team playing them this season will have an added incentive to put them in their place...

Nothing against their proper fans, but It will be good Karma if they get never get promoted, ever...

Dont think Peterborough have endeared themselves to the majority of L1 supporters, really pleased for Accy they acted with great dignity after our last game with the fund raising

Peterborough have done the majority of league one's team talk for the entire season the way they behaved in the press during lockdown.
