You have the option to decide how you wish your unused season ticket or unused ticket value to dealt with. Three options:1. donate to the United Rotherham scheme to help out Millers in need, 2. Add the value to your Millers Wallet to spend on 20/21 fixtures or 3. Get a refund.
Tony Stewart's message is worth a read and exemplifies what a great boss we have and how dedicated he is to the club and the local area.
In relative terms, Rotherham United is blessed with people of intelligence and integrity in the key leadership positions.
Totally agree Glenn!! What we have heard from our manager and chairman over the last few days have been pure class and underlines what brilliant hands our club is in, in these most difficult times. UTM
Over 50 years supporting the Miller's, I've never felt as proud to be associated with the club what a chairman and management , there will be a lot of supporters at other clubs looking at this with envy that we have a chairman who cares.
It will be interesting to see how many renew season tickets I will also the club can keep last seasons money, Up to each individual what they want to do with that money. I just want to know when I can do it.

Well said Len... I agree
I've already chosen to give my 'leftover' season ticket to the new scheme.
My thinking is that we would have spent the money anyway to see the last few games if they had been played out, AND we got promoted! and with season ticket prices held for next year for early renewal when available, that will do for me!
It was a lovely hearfelt statement and certainly shows he is a man that gives a sh it about our club and people. It's key that we get the renewals in so that the club can have some certainty over its financial future - also presume Championship is more money for club.
Seems to me TS has acted entirely in character. I wonder how many other chairmen voted for our promotion because of their respect for him.
Here's a summary of the club's income for year ending 30th June 2019, i.e. covering our last Championship campaign:
Average League attendance: 9,885
Season Tickets sold: 6,041
Match Income and Season Tickets: £2,581,000
Central Distributions (i.e. tv and other bits from the EFL): £7,441,000
Commercial Income: £3,022,000 (I suspect a good chunk is from TS's business)
Merchandising Income: £506,000
Media Receipts: £287,000
Transfer Fees and Sell on Clauses: £48,000
Other Receipts £51,000
I think I am right to say that we turned a small profit on that turnover that season.
t makes you realise what we are up against when there will be four or five teams in our league with parachute payment income of approx £40m for a kickoff.
The biggest threat to the club is the loss of ticket sale revenue if we aren't allowed to get a crowd in. One suggestion was that if we can't go and watch, they might broadcast home and away games on the iPlayer platform. So if you pay for your season ticket and can't use it, you instead get access to view live games home and away.
Personally, I would be happy to have a season ticket and pay my £500 or whatever it is, and get either home games live as usual or (second prize) livestreams of all games home and away. Either way the club gets the same revenue and cash up front.
And this is what a less enlightened League One club has decided to do (Yes, you've guessed right):
Season ticket holders for the 2019/20 campaign will be offered credit on their account for the missing five games on a pro-rata basis which can be used against season ticket purchases for the 2021-2022 and the 2022-2023 season.
To help the club come out of this extremely challenging time, 50 per cent of the credit will be added prior to the 2021-2022 season tickets going on sale followed by the remaining credit the following year.
The parachute payments need to be scrapped its created playing field that will never been fairly even again. The policing of FFP needs to be tougher as well (Wednesday/Birmingham/Derby)
Good incentive from the club with the season tickets. Happy for mine to go to the United Rotherham project.
TS " am not an owner who is sat on the other side of the world, I am in amongst everyone"
Wonder if that's a little jibe at our mate who owns Peterborough, who sits mouthing off on twitter from his home in Florida?
That same less enlightened club has not offered any straight reimbursement option.
It has also invited supporters who want to 'support the club' (as if renewing a season ticket isnt supporting the club) by foregoing a credit against next seasons ticket to donate to the clubs Academy, which is a long way from the United Rotherham concept. Chalk and cheese, as was the classy way that we handled the season ending situation compared to the loud mouthed way they went about it.
For me TS is the best chairman by far, i have opted for the remaining monies on my account to be used for the United Rotherham campaign.
I also looked online on the new shop and new ticketing pages, and the part which said that you were on auto-renew has disappeared, so i will have to call to ensure i am still on auto-renew when the season tickets go on sale
Our chairman looking very dapper not doing bad for someone who knows nothing about football his words. Goes to show you don't always have to have played the game to run a football club. Without somebody of his calibre running things plus the support of the fans no well-paid jobs for players and staff.
Football is as much a business as a sport these days. A man like him, successful business man with integrity is perfect for running a football club, as a business, ours in particular.
I always feel privileged and grateful for what we as a football club now have thanks to him; which makes the constant criticism and barracking from certain quarters disappointing.
I have never once criticised our current chairman the same when Ken Booth was in charge players and managers open season as far as I am concerned it comes with the job.
