17,000 there. I was there. Pointless post. Doesn't matter. People have lives other than watching Rotherham United.

What is the point of the post? Are you saying "we no longer have real supporters in my opinion, please discuss" - or is this a discussion about our highest ever crowds. I've no idea if you are trying to have a genuine debate or just trolling to get a reaction.

Great memories of Millmoor. I've stood & sat in all parts of that ground incl' railway end they used to let you stand in there when we were kicking that way also sat in there when main stand was knocked down. Kop when almost full was a brilliant atmosphere when we were kicking towards it. So many memorable goals. My all time favourite was Towner against Sheffield U kicking towards the kop. Unforgettable days.

Ah it's a memory lane thread. Millmoor was a dump and the NYS is 1000 times better. I went there for about 30 years too so had lots of time to make up my mind before you accuse me of never going.

I am just having a troll down memory lane seeing if there is any fans on here who went to that game more fun than moaning about the officials all of time. I know Millmoor wasn't great it must have had something about it and the beer was a lot cheaper.

I wasn't born then, so I know nowt and I'm not a real supporter.

Pathetic. And you know its pathetic, which makes it even more pathetic.  For someone of your age, you haven't grown up much.

Calm down cut back drinking the green tea. With all this rain we have had I am remembering a game we had in those conditions. Another game Oldham away mud bath King Ronnie stood in front of the goalkeeper he was bouncing the ball it stuck in the mud he poked the ball through his legs goal.

Give it a rest pal.  You seem to have a weird fixation with the idea that you are a 'real supporter'.  What has gone wrong with you that you need that kind of validation?

The green tea thing is way beyond tedious.

You are either genuine or are having fun trolling. Either way it is very sad.  Help is out there if you ask for it.  You need it.

Great time to be a Miller. I was at that game, got wet through but remember doing the Hokey Cokey on the terraces.

No he knocked it out of his hand, we all saw it and years later Ronnie admitted it, so remembering the incident correctly, I'm a better supporter.

Remember going to Wrexham on a Tuesday night and seeing us lose 2-1. About 100 of us there and four of them with me. Their ground made millmoor look like the Etihad. I have a mate whose disabled and goes to one game every three years. We're both Millers and don't get into attendance dick measuring contests.

I remember a game at Millmoor in the 70s. Rotherham Attacking the Railway End. Millers attack broke down and opposition cleared up field only for Rotherham to gain possession and storm forward again and score. Goal disallowed as Crawford was down on one knee over by the Millmoor Lane stand doing up his bootlace from the first attack and not interfering or even taking part in the game at that moment but was given offside.

Whoever can name the opposition and the scoreline will be be up there with TH and his chum as the greatest Millers that ever drew breath.

Calypso not got a clue. But Alan Crawford I went to our cup game at Barnsley 70's. Rotherham fans were in the stand filled our section. Can't remember if we had fans on away end as well. We were 1-0 down 2nd half it was all us Crawford equalised with bout 10 mins to go. It was a great feeling & Rotherham fans there showed it.

Back to the genuine fans I can remember Alan Crwaford a good winger I think he ended up signing for Fulham. The good old day's in the 70's cheep beer better sausage rolls you could stand and sit any where you wanted. Those Millmoor rolls were the best slightly singed brilliant.

Get your facts right Crawford didn't go to Fulham. I knew that checked. I can remember seeing him in the bookies at Wickersley.

I wasn't sure you are right can't beat no1 fan. Remembering Millmoor I can recall swopping ends if we were playing towards the railway end 1st half go and stand there. There was also a kids corner for the younger fans so they could see the game. I know the ground wasn't great but I enjoyed going some great days.
