Tenth placed Burton rock up to the New York, and another team unbeaten in the league in 2020. Last five league games have produced three wins and two draws. One of the wins was a 1-0 defeat of Fleetwood

Burton have three players who have played for the Blades. Quinn, Brayford and Murphy. Quinn also played a few games for us on loan. Brayford and Quinn are getting past it at 32 and 33 but Murphy is a different proposition. He has played at a decent level with Brighton and Glasgow Rangers. He got a cruciate injury in 2018 at Rangers and missed just about a full season. He has made an impression on the fans and some of them call him the assist king. However, Gerrard doesn't appear to share this and let him go on loan to Burton after only figuring in a couple of games for the 'Gers' . He has played twice i believe for Burton and on Tuesday he scored and made the other in a 2-2 draw. Burton have also added a young player from West Ham, who they signed on a two and a half year deal. His name is Joe Powell, who had been loaned out to Northampton and made a good impression there. He plays as a wide man and for Burton played down the left.
I agree with Hillsborough re the team and can see no reason to change anything if all fit. We will know we have been in a battle on Saturday as Clough knows the time of day.

Unless forced be same starting line up as tues. Unless Warney is still playing happy family's Clarke & McDonald are surplus if we get 2 in. Think he's hoping Smith keeps fit which he's always been here thus not getting another forward in.

No reason to change the team. Burton are more than useful and have some experienced players and a very canny manager. They will be nobody's pushover.

Yup, same team please..

If we play at the same tempo and press for the whole game when they have the ball, we ought to beat them. We need a bit of luck though, we should have had more goals on Tuesday and nearly got mugged at the end... so some goals instead of near misses needed..

I agree it will be a tough game, but I went to Burton and thought we were the best team despite not playing at our best... If we perform like we did in the Ipswich & Oxford games I'd be as confident as I could be.

Come on lads, let's keep in the top 2....

Burton's recent form is not as impressive as the statistics suggest when you factor in the teams they have been playing recently. Other than their 1-0 victory over Fleetwood, their last seven league games have all been against relegation fodder and they include a draw and a defeat against Accrington Stanley as well as a 2-4 home defeat to the mighty Northampton Town in the cup.

Of course, this doesn't mean it will be easy, remember Rochdale, but I would expect Hillsborough's team to put them to the sword.

I'd go with that team too - and we are on fire and brimming with self belief so we have to start being confident of winning these matches. At last Warniola has options all over the park. Just think we need to use the squad and make subs earlier when legs have gone up front. How will we cope without Lamy? 😃

On the lamy front I'm surprised but as he was only a years contract I doubt he will be back Hinds again surprised as we need mattock to have competition. For his place.

When you win a game such as today's, you get the feeling it's going to your season! Onwards and upwards! !

It seemed to me that the Burton keeper had to catch the back pass because he couldnt reach it other than with his hands, and it might have been going in. He was clearly well in the field of play. It was clearly a back pass. It was baffling. I have no idea at all what the ref was thinking.

Yeah - just seen it on the EFL highlights. One of the most bizarre officials' decisions I've ever seen!
