That is a wonderful result and top of the league WOW it feels good and you have to give the credit to PW and his staff. We need the board to help us push on and give PW what he asks for to give us the best chance
Unexpected welcome result but I haven't been but it happened to us earlier at home this season you don't get the breaks. Another game next Saturday be different challenges. Mattock he's back should think he'll start. Hope if we sign a defender it's not someone out of contract. They are not out of contract for nothing, a team looking to progress don't sign out of contract players in a transfer window do they?
When we played Fleetwood a few weeks ago1ist half terrible but in the 2nd half we started to keep the ball we were faster and played higher up the pitch. Could that have been the turning point of our season hope it continues. I was not expecting anything today I would like to see a few more games at home where we demolish teams onwards and upwards.
Outstanding performance and result today. Full of pride at the moment. Proud that we can go to the team with I think the best home record in the league and demolish them. Proud of the moving support given to Richie Barker. Proud we have a leader like Warne and not a leader like Robinson who specialises in sour grapes. They were all good today including the seven in the starting eleven who have been totally written off by you know who at various times, but special mentions from me to Ben Wiles, who had a go in both full back positions and did great apart from one dodgy back pass, and that big useless lump Matt Crooks who managed to be immense today, not for the first time this season. It's still very tight at the top and we get nothing for being top right now, but we are a live contender for sure. We have hit our best form at the same time as we have had a run of very difficult games.
Smiler how did the new player do I haven't seen anything. I am expecting him to be a bit rusty I bet there manager is spitting feathers after that result.

Thank goodness for your first hand report Smiler. Apart from a couple of posts, I suspected that we'd slipped into the bottom 4! I'd marked this one down as a season defining game and was slightly concerned because of the enforced changes. But this is a team with spirit, workrate and not a small amount of talent. PW takes credit for much of that, along with his back room team, and they all deserve great credit. Great respect to all the supporters who made the journey today and brought a tear to Richie Barker's eye - we're a great club with excellent supporters and staff to be proud of. Please let H know that I'm coming around to her Vassell vision. Amazing what that spectacular 4th against Peterborough has done for his confidence. I must reassess my transfer window predictions and eat my humble pie.
Meant to say - I hope today has finally killed the myth that we only win because the league is crap or when the opposition dont turn up. Make no mistake, Oxford are a very decent side. We have now had convincing wins against several of the top few sides. I'm not getting carried away because the way the league is we could lose the next couple of games and slip down the table a few places, and the Warne Out brigade will be back in force. Top spot and top scorers though in mid January isnt to be sneezed at.
