Could be what gwru and I predicted someone else will snap him up. Very poor move by the club. The one big criticism I have of the set up bringing young players through. As I have said in earlier messages can you blame them for wanting to move when you see players like Vassell Hastie infront of you. The least the manager can do is give him a game tomorrow I am not holding my breathe.
whiston01 forget your bessie posters on here. I've forgot more. Lamy you'd have to blind not to see he's got it. Hope it's just twitter rumours linking him with Birmingham. We'd look idiots if he goes on to be a championship player, Warney never giving him a chance. Get him starting Saturday see what we've got. Extend his contract proven player be worth more.
In your expert opinion, is he even better than Bailey-King? I suppose that you have seen him play for 90 minutes, which is maybe 60 more than you saw Bailey-King, but it only takes you 90 seconds you claim, so 90 minutes you should be able to extrapolate (google it) his entire career path.
Fifteen or so games in the fifth tier of French football and one game for us against Doncaster reserves. Six months left on his contract. Not able to get a game ahead of any of Ogbene, Morris, Clarke, Hastie, Wiles, Vassell or Olosunde as an attacking wide player. A £2m valuation from gwru based on that one game for us. Absolutely priceless! We have had a punt on Lamy. I had a chat with him once. He seems like a great kid and he made a brave decision to try and make a go of it in England. I really hope he makes it happen. I saw the game against Donny reserves and he did ok, but....£2m !!! 😂
Lamy given the chance he's our best winger on the right & he's got an end product. Ogbene might be faster but I don't see goals from him or many crosses going were they are intended from him. Clarke & Hastie not brought nothing to the side. I'd have as I've said Ogbene on the left.
I am going to stick up for gwru here he has a point. If Lamy has gone to a championship team then this is the 3rd player in under a season that our manager doesn't rate and can't manage that has gone to play in the championship and all three are young players. There is an issue there and it is quite appropriate for fans to ask questions and not just assume the management team are beyond being challenged. Also our manager says he wants a winger ......well guess what he has had a championship winger and not given him a chance.

We are assuming that Lamy is going to a Championship club. It hasn't happened yet. If it did happen, then simply being at a Championship club wouldn't really make him a 'Championship winger'. Championship clubs have lots of young players who never play for them and many of them are not Championship standard. In the same way that Iversen is contracted to Leicester but isn't yet a 'Premier League keeper'.
It is quite right that the management team should be open to question. If (big if) Lamy moves on and becomes an established success in the Championship then we might be able to look back and perhaps say that we got it wrong. It is far too early say that now though, even if Birmingham or some other club gives him a go.
We have covered Purrington before Derby. You have your views and that is fair enough. I would just suggest that there might be many reasons why it didn't work for him here. For one thing he had to compete with Mattock who by your own definition has been a Premier League full-back. It was also strongly suggested that he didn't settle up here and didn't put in the required effort. I don't know if that is true or not. It may be that Warne mis-managed him, but it may also be the case that Purrington had himself to blame for it not working out. I wouldn't jump to one conclusion or the other because I just don't know the truth of it. I do know that I saw him play plenty of times and was never really impressed, but that is a matter of opinion.
