Bad move by the club I am a season ticket holder in the main stand not open for the game I can not get a ticket tomorrow because I don't have a seat in those areas. Listen to the supporters without us you are nothing I didn't mind the friendlies and the Mickey Mouse cup but it is the FA cup why are the supporters in that side of the ground treated in this way let me have my normal seat or you can shove it. Rubbish kick off time.

If the club can't take the FC cup serious why should the fans. I won't be going unless they open the West stand. Not cheap tickets either like earlier in the season for non-league games when the West stand wasn't open.

I don't think the prices are far off. The kick off time might have been dictated by SYP. I don't get the logic of selling tickets for three sides of the ground and don't like that at all.

Part of going to football is to meet up with people and enjoy conversation and differences of opinion. The decision to make my seat unavailable to me for the Hull City game is a stupid decision and I for one will not be attending.

It's not the price. Games need paying for also away fans pay same price & Hull should bring a few. I've been to all the games when the West stand wasn't open this season, didn't mind. Just FA cup should be taken serious or club might think it's not worth it.

It's a dreadful decision by the club and makes the fans, particularly those in the West stand, feel undervalued. A less than attractive cup draw has just become a bit less attractive!

This is a 1st everyone agreeing that it is a poor pr job by the club I can not see the fairness in season ticket holder in the family stand and the home back of the nets being able to get there seat plus up to 5 tickets today. The rest of us season ticket holders scrag ends. Did that big Christmas tree fall down and hit them over the head to come up with this cracker of an idea.

Talk about shooting yourself in the foot! This will no doubt affect the attendance and lose any goodwill at a time when they desperately need all they can generate - especially in light of home performances this season! Hope somebody from the club is listening!!

3rd round of the cup and we are not opening the main stand unbelievable and shows a lack of respect to the game and the fans, what a joke of a club TS needs to get hold of his club. Drop the price fill the ground how crap are our marketing people

I totally agree with all the criticism. The high ticket prices and stand closure sadly shows contempt for supporters. By comparison  for the same round of the FA Cup those slightly better footballing teams Manchester City and Leicester City both have adult tickets available at £10 for season ticket holders and £15 for general sale.

They are now going to get a crowd of six or seven thousand and in a classic example of a self fulfilling prophecy they probably won't need the West Stand now. Better to open the whole ground and cut prices in half. Same total revenue, better atmosphere, goodwill generated, get some new punters in, increased revenue in the shop and on programmes etc. I think because Hull get a slice of gate receipts they might have had to agree the pricing but I cant believe they would have thought any differently. The club has got this badly wrong. I've said for a long time that the Marketing/PR side of things at the club is awful and this is another example.

Been in touch with P.Douglas , he reckons F.A set KO time to accommodate overseas t.v 😂, and closing West Stand is due to last 3 3rd round attendances , if I wasn't a bit of a cynical old t**t I would think that they don't give a frig about us in West Stand.

P Douglas the man full excuses and bull****. Basically it is a finance decision by a bunch of second hand car salesmen. I am now not going I was intending on getting 5 tickets great business brain that Paul Douglas. We need to start a social media campaign to boycott the game

Stupid question I should have asked Would they closed it if we had pulled the likes of Liverpool based on past attendances? Really peed off about this decision. Never learn our lot, remember what Man City did a couple of years back what was it a tenner and all stands open.😠

I am a cynic at heart and no successful businessman makes this decision without a reason. Last year TS stated in an interview that the man city game was worth £800k to the club, people on here said it wasn't however it was certainly worth more than Hull City and was enough to finance two new contracts and signing crooks. This year I suspect all the budget has gone and they know at least 25% of the spend is wasted so by doing this they can play the poor man and not invest in the squad in Jan maybe recoup some money by selling as well. We may take a loan to cover any sales. Last Jan we failed to sign a striker and went down by 4 points (great business???) So let us see the genius that is Douglas this January

Double the crowd at half the price equals same revenue. Even if it's all and only about money it's a dubious decision. Throw in the fringe benefits (goodwill, ancillary sales, better match atmosphere, and a chance to engage new supporters) and it's a no brainer. It's just a bad, bad business decision from every angle. I'm getting crosser about this the more I think about it. Someone I know has emailed Mr Douglas. I'll let you know what response they get.

Already done it very bland response I think us west standers will have to take this one on the chin. To treat loyal supporters like me who went to the Don Valley every match plus people who have attended every game at the NYS since it opened very disgruntled. As I have said i want to go to the game but to see genuine supporters treated in this way the only losers are the club.
